Today we wrap up the Dream Team series! This has been so fun combining these student athletes into groups that would be a blast to watch together!
Amaris Lowery, 5’11, 2021, Dublin Jerome
Amaris gets after it! Very good outside shooter, can shoot anywhere behind the arc. Can hurt you with dribble penetration and easily go past defenders in the paint for buckets. Solid court vision, puts some zing on her passes. She runs the floor beautifully on transition, has great quickness! Solid handles, and anticipates where the ball is being passed, which leads to steals. Active feet and hands on defense, her length makes it difficult on shorter guards. Keep an eye on her, she will play well at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="32592" first="Gabbie" last="King"], 5'9, 2021, West Jefferson
Strong ball player, who can hurt you offensively on the block and outside! Pretty drop step moves down low, and nice floater shots in the paint. Can definitely hurt you behind the arc as well as make life difficult for defenders with her strong cuts to the basket. Gabbie does all the "little things" right- very good help side defender, follows her shot when she misses, which typically leads to a rebound and easy layup, and denies passes to her defender. Tough player!
Lexi Wenger, 5’8, 2022, Northmor
Lexi is a scrappy player, who's not afraid to sacrifice her body for lose balls, or keep the ball in play. She has nice handles, sees the floor well and pushes the ball on transition. Lexi can shoot the 3's but also has a nice mid range jumper. Smart player, who makes good decisions, knows where to be on the floor, knows when to cut, when to pass. She's only going to keep getting better!
[player_tooltip player_id="164654" first="Madison" last="Greene"], 2023, Pickerington Central
She can flat out play, I mean PLAY! Lightening speed, which elevates her game to a whole new level offensively and defensively. A nightmare for anyone defending her- she's everywhere on the floor. Strong outside shooter, hits the 3's, floaters, outstanding finisher around the basket, not afraid to take it strong to the basket. She gets after it on defense, sits low on D. Very strong ball-handler, excellent on fast breaks, high basketball IQ. She makes everyone around her better, creates easy shots not only for herself, but her teammates. She has one very bright future.
Chloe Chard- Peloquin, 6'1, 2022, Johnstown- Monroe
Let me tell you, she can play anywhere on the court! She can bring the ball up the court and play point, she can drain the 3's while playing the 2/3 spot, and she can play down low. Very good handles, she has the ability to attack the basket with ease. She gets position under the basket, rebounds on both ends, runs the floor quickly. Great defender- her long athletic frame makes her difficult to guard. The game comes natural for Chloe, and knows what to do with the rock. You'll be hearing her name a lot!
