<p>The No. 6-ranked Southridge Skyhawks got payback at the No. 5-ranked Jesuit Crusaders on Tuesday night with a 62-49 road upset. The Skyhawks never trailed, went on a 13-0 run in the third quarter, and led by a game-high 19 points early in the fourth. The rivals are tied at the top of the Metro League table with one game remaining.</p>

<p>On Friday, Jesuit (16-6, 8-1) goes to Beaverton, and Southridge (16-7, 8-1) hosts Mountainside.</p>

<p>Southridge senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='832605' first='Sara' last='Mangan'] led all scorers with a 23-point, 11-rebound double-double. She added 4 assists. The Portland commit is an elite ball-handler under pressure who can create her own look and has an incredibly quick release from deep. She played on another level and was not phased by the double-team in the backcourt or on the perimeter.</p>

<p>In the opening frame, Mangan scored 13 points and drained 3 three-pointers to give Southridge an early lead. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1231681' first='Camryn' last='Herzberg'] cleaned up on the glass, grabbing three boards in the first quarter. Herzberg ended the night with 3 points, 9 rebounds (6 offensive), and 3 assists. The Skyhawks led by 8 (23-15) going into the second quarter.</p>

<p>Both teams stepped up their defense in the second frame, holding each other to single-digit scoring. Jesuit trailed by 6 points (27-21) going into halftime.</p>

<p>The third quarter is when Southridge stepped on the gas, outscoring Jesuit 21-9. Mangan led the way, scoring 7 unanswered points early in the frame, all from baseline inbound plays. She powered up a contested bucket inside through two players, got her defender in the air on the baseline to draw a shooting foul, and came off a screen to swish another three.</p>

<p>The Crusaders sent an extra defender on Mangan, which opened things up for others, including Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1616312' first='Bailey' last='Griffin'], who scored 4 points and tallied 3 assists in the third quarter. Griffin hunted the perimeter passing lane, picked the pass, and went all the way to finish a contested fastbreak layup. She drove from the arc, jump-stopped inside, turned over her left shoulder, and got the friendly rim bounce from a soft touch. The combo guard ended the night with 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.</p>

<p>Senior [player_tooltip player_id='921397' first='Addison' last='White'] opened her account in the third quarter, adding 7 points. Griffin assisted White twice, pushing the pace after a defensive rebound to find the post running the floor, and feeding the five on an inbound lob. The power forward finished with 14 points, 3 rebounds, and a block. Six-foot-1 White held 6-foot-5 center [player_tooltip player_id='1013188' first='Ceanna' last='Forney'] and 6-foot power forward Dulce Cleeland to a combined 3 rebounds all game.</p>

<p>White and Herzberg ended the third quarter with back-to-back three-pointers to give Southridge an 18-point lead (48-30) going into the final frame.</p>

<p>It was the underclassmen who produced for Jesuit in the fourth quarter, outscoring Southridge 19-14, but it wouldn't be enough.</p>

<p>Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1016616' first='Sam' last='Stark'] opened the period with a three-pointer. A couple of plays later, Mangan drained a pull-up three to give Southridge its biggest lead of the night (19).</p>

<p>Jesuit didn't give up. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1013188' first='Ceanna' last='Forney'], who scored a monster 36 points with 13 rebounds in <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2026/02/metro-league-matchup-round-1-jesuit-upsets-southridge-72-52/">Jesuit's first-round win against Southridge</a>, found buckets inside every quarter and trickled in three more points in the fourth. The 6-foot-5 center finished with 13 points, 3 assists, and 1 block.</p>

<p>Senior Amani Lubrano hit her third three-pointer of the night in the last period. Lubrano ended the night with 13 points and 3 rebounds.</p>

<p>It was [player_tooltip player_id='1321203' first='Katie' last='Kidd'], a freshman shooting guard, who came off the bench to knock down a couple of threes, score 10 points, and win 2 offensive rebounds for the Crusaders in the fourth quarter.</p>

<p>The rivals could share the Metro League title after Friday. Either way, the Skyhawks and Crusaders have punched a ticket to the 6A playoffs, and both teams have their eyes on the state tournament. Rankings freeze on Saturday night, and the first round will be played on March 4.</p>
