Over the summer, Herzberg was called up to play in the 17U Division of the Select Events Power 24 national tournament with Northwest Select . She is a tremendous athlete with a strong frame who makes simple basketball plays. Herzberg has an impact on the game with or without the ball. She cuts when she should and holds space when she should. She takes care of the rock, she can drive and shoot, and she’s an excellent defender. Northwest Select 5-foot-9 combo guard Camryn Herzberg Camryn Herzberg 5'9" | CG/PG Southridge | 2028 State OR is an aggressive on-ball defender who can score from all three levels. The Southridge rising sophomore (2028) is smooth downhill, finishes strong at the rim, drains the midrange jumper off the bounce, and hits the catch-and-shoot three. Herzberg is remarkably athletic. She has a strong frame and an insane vertical. She makes plays look way easier than they should. The Metro League Champion averaged 16.2 points (shooting 53% from the field and 33% from three), 5.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.4 steals per game and was named to the All-League First Team as a freshman. She’s been hooping this spring with her club team and played an instrumental role in winning a Pool A title at the Battle in the Emerald City, a Select Events tournament that showcased the top teams in the Pacific Northwest. Camryn Herzberg Camryn Herzberg 5'9" | CG/PG Southridge | 2028 State OR impressed at the 2024 Holiday Classic, her entire freshman season at Southridge, and now with NW Select at the Battle in the Emerald City. The 2028 combo guard is a tough two-way player who gets to the rim and creates offense out of defense. Herzberg plays tenacious on-ball defense, making the right read to fight over or swap on the screen. She forces steals on the perimeter, goes coast to coast through traffic, and finishes strong and athletic at the rim. Herzberg consistently finishes tough takes to the basket. She drives and kicks. She moves off the ball and makes strong cuts. She hustles to get her own rebound and makes the baseline save.
