About Amelia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I see myself as a high-octane guard with a modern offensive toolkit and a 'lockdown' defensive mentality. I am a dangerous three-level scorer who balances a lethal perimeter shot with the vision to drive and dish in traffic. Defensively, I combine a high basketball IQ with elite anticipation, specializing in on-ball pressure and jumping passing lanes to ignite the fast break.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a “never quit” mentality. I feel there is no obstacle I can’t overcome.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership ability demonstrated by starting at point guard on varsity my freshman year. This has also made me a better teammate because I see my primary job as helping the team succeed. Through school, I perform community service projects which brings me great joy.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At the age of three, I was diagnosed with cochlear dysplasia and have dealt with hearing loss my entire life. Both on and off the court, this requires a great deal of mental effort and focus which I believe has helped my in life. This has given me a sense I can overcome any challenge. While this doesn’t define who I am, it contributes to who I am.

What type of college are you looking for?

While I am still early in the evaluation process, I am looking for a college that I can succeed academically and in basketball as well a school that prepares me to succeed at life.
