About Devry

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile varsity shooting guard and consistent starter with the ability to impact the game at every position. Known for high shooting accuracy and dependable scoring, delivering in clutch moments both in the key and from the perimeter. A strong all-around contributor, ranked as the team’s second-leading rebounder in the most recent varsity season.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m committed to daily, intentional work to elevate every part of my game—strength, speed, agility, explosiveness, durability, endurance, shooting, and ball handling. I focus on constant improvement so I can reach my full potential and contribute at the highest level to my team’s success. My teammates voted me, “Ms Reliable” this season. I am goal oriented, driven, and I always show up to work.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of my Young Women’s Christian youth group and currently hold the position of Secretary in our presidency. I received High Honors for my grades.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My siblings and I run a family business where we design, plan, market for, and run youth activity camps during the summer months. Through these experiences, I have learned how to work together as a team, create valuable and fun learning experiences for children, and to ensure their safety, while working cooperatively with my siblings.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Three years ago we lost my Grandfather who died by suicide. This was and continues to be a source of sadness for our family, but never shame. He struggled with mental illness including depression and anxiety for many years and we would never judge his decision, though it causes us great pain. My cousins and siblings and I talk about him and share the good memories we learned from him.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a 4-year college where I would find a community of students with high morals and an opportunity to study in one of the four fields I’m interested in: Forensic Science, Exercise Science, Physical Therapy, or Dietetics/Nutrition.
