The Prep Girls Hoops Freshmen 50 – our first full ranking of the Class of 2030 – will debut this fall, shortly after the PGH Freshmen Showcase in September. That event gives incoming 9th graders one final chance to make their case before the list goes live. In the meantime, we're spotlighting 20 rising prospects who've already caught our attention – players we've been watching closely in recent months. Yesterday, we introduced the first five names on our 2030 Watch List. Today, we continue with five more standouts from across the state.

As always, a quick reminder: Prep Girls Hoops rankings are based on long-term potential at the college level. Current production plays a role, but it's not the whole story. These players are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

A recent addition to our list of contenders for the Freshman 50, Lippert is a 6'2 forward with the potential to grow even taller. Long, lanky, and bursting with potential, the [program_tooltip program_id='1229871' first='Southwest' last='Fury'] 8th grader runs the floor with ease, is an effective force on the boards, and can finish through contact at the rim. With a growing understanding of the game and the ability to handle physicality in the paint, Taylor's game, while still raw, is only up from here. With scholarship-level potential, Lippert is gearing up to be the next big thing out of MACCRAY.

Coming from a long line of successful post players, the latest Malmgren sisters is no exception. Standing at 5'11 with a lengthy, but strong frame, the [program_tooltip program_id='712699' first='Minnesota' last='Rise'] standout brings an immense amount of energy each time she steps on the court. Kendall is quick in the open court, a productive scorer in the paint with a deep bag of tricks, and consistently out-works her opponents on both ends. With steady hands and the ability to elevate over defenders, the St. James 8th grader thrives on the offensive glass, making a living off of second chance scoring opportunities.

A 6'1 forward with tremendous athleticism and the ability to take over a game, Nnaji is one of the most intriguing prospects in the class. The Shakopee 8th grader runs the floor with ease, excelling as a rim runner and transition scorer. On the defensive end, Zion's length allows her to disrupt her opponents by getting her hands in passing lanes and altering shots in the paint. With a strong, solidly built frame, smooth elevation, and a developing midrange game, the [program_tooltip program_id='712697' first='MN' last='Crossfire'] standout is sure to make some noise in the coming years.

The Hillcrest Lutheran 8th grader has made plenty of noise in Class A basketball the past two seasons, proving herself as a high-level collegiate prospect. Retzlaff, a 5'9 combo guard, does it all. She's quick, strong, crafty with the ball in her hands, and is an efficient three level scorer with a vast understanding of the game. Elin is a workhorse who brings a tremendous level of effort each time she steps on the floor. Poised and highly coachable, the [program_tooltip program_id='713021' first='West' last='Central United'] guard is a college coach's dream. Certainly a name to know in the Class of 2030.

A high-octane scorer who can create her own shot from anywhere on the floor, Schupp has been known to put up big numbers for Mound Westonka. The 5'8 guard is bouncy, light on her feet, shifty with the ball in her hands, and has an explosive first step. She finishes through contact with ease on either side of the rim, and is an efficient shooter from beyond the arc. On the defensive end Eve is just as impactful. The [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'] top performer defends hard, using her active hands and quick feet to create havoc on the perimeter.
