Spectacular performance—and guess what? She is only a seventh-grader playing up on the 15U circuit with ninth-graders. Normally, I am hesitant to endorse players playing up unless they are completely dominating their current grade level. But Samantha is just different.

Honestly, she dominated a point guard whom I had ranked in the top three for this entire tournament. Her passes were perfectly on point and delivered with pinpoint accuracy. Her court vision and situational awareness are advanced for a 7^th grader. It felt like she had eyes in the back of her head because a couple of the passes she threw were simply unbelievable.

To top it off, her on-ball defense was superb. She frustrated the opposing point guard to the point that her coach pulled her from the game with just over three minutes left, never to return. The sky is the absolute limit for Samantha, and I cannot wait to watch her progression as she continues to grow as a student-athlete.
