Within the next week or so, I'll have a few articles that are solely based on the senior class, offering advice and giving a sort of testimonial to their recruiting process to give the up-and-coming prospects a perspective from kids who have been through it. If players and families find some of the statements helpful, which I think you will, we can expand that idea. We can help potentially calm some nerves and help younger players understand the ups and downs of the recruitment process. However, before we get to that, we will look at some players to take notes on before grassroots basketball picks up later in June and in July.

Clark has been among the elite offensive creators when she's been healthy over the past three seasons. The Rhinelander native has been the hub of what the Hodgas do offensively since she's been there, and has been as reliable as anyone around Wisconsin. She has applied her trade in Minnesota in her final two grassroots seasons, but she is a scholarship-level talent who could garner more attention over the last few months of her grassroots career.

Few players have been as creative as Richard has been around the state in her first three high school seasons. Richard is a player who has been among the best passers and been towards the top of assist leaderboards every year she's been at Platteville. She is a kid who will make others around her better and be as unselfish as a young player can be at the next level.

A common theme among multi-sport athletes at the high school level is their competitiveness, and Buttchen is no different. The Milton native has been a part of successful programs in her three years in high school thus far, and has contributed at a high level on the basketball court. She's a two-way player who can handle the ball and score from all three levels. Buttchen has the tools to thrive at a small school if she chooses to play basketball in college.

In terms of winning, few players can swing games at the high school level like Lauer. At any point when her team needs a jolt, she finds a way to help her team win games. She's an excellent athlete who can defend on the perimeter and attack the basket. However, her development as a perimeter shooter has helped her take another step and become a more complete two-way talent.
