The Southeast Region Finals brought together some of the top travel programs from across the Southeast for a highly competitive weekend at Columbus State University. While there was plenty of talent on display across all age groups, several underclassmen stood out because of their size, length, physicality, and long-term potential. Whether it was impacting the game around the rim, controlling the glass, or showcasing intriguing athletic tools, these young prospects caught my eye throughout the weekend and are names worth keeping on the radar as they continue to develop:

Jayleigh is a quick lead guard who consistently put pressure on the defense with her speed when getting downhill and ability to change direction. She showed strong anticipation in passing lanes by jumping them to get steals and turning defense into immediate offense in transition. Her pace and burst stood out, allowing her to push the ball and create advantages before the defense could get set. Operating as a lead guard, she plays with tempo and energy, making her a constant threat to disrupt and ignite transition opportunities.

Maddie is a strong point guard who uses her quickness and ball-handling ability to create advantages off the dribble. Her change of direction stood out, allowing her to keep defenders off balance and get into the paint. Once there, she showed touch with a runner and the ability to finish with either hand around the basket. Combining strength, speed, and control as a lead guard, Maddie consistently put pressure on the defense and proved capable of creating scoring opportunities for herself.

Nanalee showed a versatile offensive skill set, impacting the game in multiple ways throughout the weekend. She finished strong around the basket and also demonstrated the ability to stretch the floor with perimeter shooting by knocking down both three-pointers and multiple long two-point attempts. Her craftiness stood out, particularly with effective pass fakes that consistently froze defenders and created advantages. She also used shot and pass fakes on drives to the rim to shift defenders and open up scoring opportunities. Overall, she is a versatile hooper who can score at all three levels and manipulate defenses with her skill and deception.

Jazmine made her presence felt on both ends of the floor with a combination of activity, length, and feel for the game. She converted an and-one finish around the rim and showed toughness and control through contact all weekend long. Defensively, she used her length well to generate a steal by reading the offense and jumping a passing lane, while also staying active with her hands throughout her minutes. Offensively, she made solid passes and showed good decision-making, consistently making the right reads within the flow of the game.

Naomi impacted the game on both ends of the floor with her activity level and length. She knocked down the three-point shot when given space and did a nice job running the floor to stay involved in transition opportunities. Defensively, her active hands and anticipation stood out, allowing her to disrupt plays and create problems for opposing ball handlers and passers. Combined with her length, those instincts helped her make a consistent impact on the defensive end.

London brings a long frame that gives her clear physical upside and allows her to impact the game in multiple ways. She showed the ability to beat defenders off the dribble, using her length and stride to create driving lanes and get into the paint. London also finished through contact on and-one opportunities, displaying toughness and control at the rim. Her combination of size, ability to attack the paint, and finishing presence makes her an intriguing prospect with room to continue developing her game.
