There are numerous grassroots programs from around the state, and it's nearly impossible to see them all. Today, we are looking at a handful of players I'd like to highlight before the grassroots season gets rolling again in a few weeks. In today's articles, we will look at some players who may be slightly under the radar, but might be worth making a note to see sometime this summer or in the future.

The Appleton North wing had a solid high school season for the Lightning and has been impressive with her [program_tooltip program_id='713127' first='Wisconsin' last='Legends'] group. Schuh has become a solid perimeter threat who can space the floor and knock down shots when defenses allow her to shoot beyond the arc. I also like that she is willing to use her size and strength to dig in and rebound on both ends of the floor. She is a player who will find a role somewhere at the next level if she chooses to play there.

The Oshkosh area native is an intriguing frontcourt prospect who can excel on the defensive end of the floor. Liabwill is a frontcourt player who plays hard on both ends of the floor and moves well for her size. I think she can do a solid job defending ball screens because she can move her feet on the perimeter and switch onto a guard if needed. However, her work ethic on both ends of the floor should help her draw some attention from college coaches.

The Wauwatosa native has the tools to help a regional program on both ends of the floor. Townsend is a solid athlete who can move her feet defensively and make plays on the ball. On the offensive end, she can space the floor and knock down shots. However, she seems to work on her shot on her own, because she has impressive footwork and can get her shot off quickly.

The lead guard from Madison has an excellent approach to every game she plays. No matter when I've seen her play, Fields wants to get her teammates into a rhythm before she hunts her shot, which signals to me the kind of player and person she is. I like her ability to facilitate an offense and the poise she brings to a backcourt. I have always felt that there is more to her offensive game, and still think that's the case, but no matter what, she is a pass-first guard at her core.
