The lead guard from Madison has an excellent approach to every game she plays. No matter when I’ve seen her play, Fields wants to get her teammates into a rhythm before she hunts her shot, which signals to me the kind of player and person she is. I like her ability to facilitate an offense and the poise she brings to a backcourt. I have always felt that there is more to her offensive game, and still think that’s the case, but no matter what, she is a pass-first guard at her core.

I have always felt like there was another level to Fields’ game, and probably always will. The Madison native is a skilled lead guard who can do a little of everything at the point of attack. However, I love her approach to every game and how she never seems to be distracted by anything happening around her. There is a poise to her game that few guards ever have, and that’s her personality as a whole. She’s a player whom her teammates have trusted with the ball. She’s earned that around multiple scholarship-level talents in high school and in grassroots ball, which says a lot about her.
