A 6’0” guard, Delarue is ranked No. 54 in the current Prep Girls Hoops Missouri Class of 2021 rankings. She made her announcement on her Twitter account just a few days after receiving her offer from MSU head coach Amaka Agatha-Hamilton last week.
“After receiving my offer from Coach Mox, I was sure right after that call that that’s who I wanted to play for the next four years,” Delarue said. “I took a few days to pray about it and this is where God has led me.
“The family culture that Missouri State has stood out a lot to me. The love and effort these coaches put into their players shows why they are such a successful program.”
Delarue enjoyed a very productive series of performances last week at the USJN-Premier in Indianapolis for her Blue Star-St. Louis grassroots team. She also picked up new offers from Tampa and Northwestern State in addition to Missouri State.
“After receiving multiple offers after playing in Indy, I felt as if I was finally being noticed not only for just scoring but for my overall play, she said. “My name was finally heard by plenty of schools, but I knew what I wanted in a school and program and Missouri State was the full package.”
As a junior at Howell North, Delarue averaged 20.8 points a game, which was fifth in the St. Louis metro area. She also averaged 8.5 rebounds and 3.1 steals a game while making 58 3-pointers.
