Double-Doubles are a big achievement for a player. It shows the dedication and talent of an individual. If a player is able to attain multiple double-doubles, that is very impressive. Double-Doubles are not an easy goal to fulfill, any basketball player knows that double-doubles are extremely hard to accomplish. Although, skilled players that have the ability to execute well in their gameplay throughout the season, can definitely be successful in achieving numerous double-doubles. Listed below are a group of players that have been successful in achieving several double-doubles throughout the season: Peyton Holcomb- 2023, Guard & PF, #25, Benicia High School (Benicia, CA) I have mentioned Peyton Holcomb before, and she is an all-around talented player. She is quick and athletic. She is a very competitive player, and scoring is a breeze for Peyton. Making varsity freshman year, she already has proved herself to be one of the most talented players in the Bay Area. Peyton commits to every play during a game, whether it is scoring, or creating other opportunities for her teammates. Already as a freshman, she has achieved 14 double-doubles this past season. Averaging 13.1 PPG, and 11.9 RPG, just proves that she has what it takes to play at a high level. This just goes to show that hard work truly pays off, and that is what Peyton Holcomb shows when she is on the court. Peyton Holcomb is a very hard worker and deserves more recognition. Jael Butler- 2022, 6'1”, Center and PF, #35, Valley Christian High School (San Jose, CA) Jael Butler is another player that I have recognized before, but now I'm specifically talking about her high statistics. Jael Butler is so fast, it's hard to keep up watching her make plays on the court. She has proven that she is a very competitive player that puts all her effort into the game, and is always expected to complete each play. Jael is committed to the game, and it shows during her games. Butler is one of the most energetic players out there and has the confidence to score in any situation. Averaging 11.6 PPG, and 9.9 RPG, just shows how dedicated she is to playing at her full potential for each game. She achieved 11 double-doubles during the last season. You can always count on Jael to make plays, and to put numerous points on the board. [player_tooltip player_id="103366" first="Sharon" last="Nejad"]- 2022, 5'10”, Center, #12, Menlo School(Atherton, CA) I am fully aware of [player_tooltip player_id="103366" first="Sharon" last="Nejad"] of Menlo School in Atherton, CA. I was not going to pass up talking about Sharon's accomplishment of reaching 11 double-doubles during the past season. Averaging 12.8 PPG, and 10.1 RPG, just shows how outstanding a player [player_tooltip player_id="103366" first="Sharon" last="Nejad"] is. Before I have mentioned Sharon's ability to score, and my thoughts have not changed. She is skilled all-around the court. When it comes to shooting, or having her guard the best player on the opposing team, I would trust her to do all of it. Nejad truly deserves to be captain of her team, especially with the leadership skills and talent that she possesses. I'm not surprised she is as successful as she is, she really puts in a lot of effort during her gameplay. [player_tooltip player_id="103366" first="Sharon" last="Nejad"] is a very gifted player that has what it takes to play at the collegiate level. Hana Essubalew- (2023), G, #12, American Indian High School Hana Essubalew is not new to players I have mentioned before. Like I have said before, she is very dynamic and athletic. Her statistics themselves are enough to prove that Hana will be an important part of her team for her next 3 years of high school. As a freshman, she averaged 16.2 PPG, and 10.5 RPG. Alongside that, she acquired 7 double-doubles in total this past season. That is pretty significant considering Hana is only a freshman. It was unfortunate that her season was cut short, because I know for sure she could've gotten more double-doubles just based off of her stats. I am confident that Hana will continue to carry on her legacy throughout her high school career, and I can't wait to see what else she has in store.
