The Gulf Shores Lady Dolphins enter the upcoming season with experience, continuity and a clear identity under head coach Brian Sexton. Olivia enters the season with momentum after producing a breakout summer. She provides Gulf Shores with a dependable combination of scoring, rebounding, and frontcourt activity. She has shown the ability to impact the game around the basket while also giving the Lady Dolphins another player capable of converting offensive opportunities. Her rebounding will be particularly important within Gulf Shores' “defend, rebound and run” philosophy. She can help finish defensive possessions by pursuing the ball, securing rebounds, and allowing the Lady Dolphins to immediately transition from defense to offense. On the offensive glass, her effort creates second-chance points and extend possessions. Her continued growth as a scorer gives Gulf Shores an important interior option. Her presence should help with ball-handling responsibilities, perimeter play and maintaining tempo when Anna is resting or playing away from the ball.   Autumn Milliken | Center   Autumn gives Gulf Shores additional size and an interior presence. At center, she will have an opportunity to help the Lady Dolphins protect the paint, rebound, and establish physicality around the basket. Her addition could be especially valuable against teams with size in the frontcourt.   Within Gulf Shores' system, her ability to secure defensive rebounds and quickly outlet the basketball can help ignite the transition game. Offensively, she can contribute through rim runs, screen-setting, putbacks and finishes around the basket. If she consistently plays with energy and embraces the physical responsibilities of the position, she can provide important frontcourt minutes. The returning starters must provide consistent production and leadership, while the new additions and bench players must strengthen the rotation. Gulf Shores will also need to execute in the half court when transition opportunities are unavailable, value the basketball and remain composed during close games.
