Freshman Showcase: Team 6 Recap

No predetermined lines. Just players figuring it out against new competition. Great way to evaluate. For freshmen, it's an early look at who is ready to make an impact as they step into high school basketball. For scouts, it's a chance to see how players compete, make decisions, defend, create, adjust and respond when the game gets going. She brings consistent energy on both ends and does a nice job getting back defensively. Offensively, she shows a great flick of the wrist on a poised, controlled shot. Gets the ball and quickly recognizes where to attack a defense to create an easy basket, but also knows when to take matters into her own hands. Plays with an aggressive mindset and consistently looks to get downhill and put pressure on the defense. Knocked down timely shots in a tight game and showed she isn't afraid of the moment!! Defensively, she plays with her nose over the ball and does a nice job containing smaller guards. Uses a good change of pace to shift gears, get by defenders and get inside. Scrappy defender who wasn't afraid to get into the action and make things difficult for opponents.
