Film Study: Quieter Players And Programs To Hear About

During her Sophomore campaign, DeRycke averaged just under 7 RPG in her efforts in the middle. This is Belle Plaine's main source of production in the middle of the lane. She stands at 5'10, which is the tallest on the team by a few inches and that places her in the middle to hold down the fort for the group in a sense. Moving forward I would like to see her show up a little more this Winter as a scoring threat on the offensive end. She has size and coordination so as long as she can catch in favorable spots with some timing and space, she should be able to convert. Last season Fairfield was led by a bunch of Seniors. They gave them most of their production across the floor. Emma Metcalf was one of the only other ones to step up and make her mark in the production category of most positive statistical categories along side them. This season this group needs a leader. This season we will be looking for her to lead the way for her group in the terms of passing, setting up others for success, and making everyone else around her better because of her selfless creating ability when the rock is in her possession. She led the team with 2.5 APG as a Sophomore while only turning over the ball once per contest, giving her a +1.5 Assist-to-Turnover ratio. Long recorded 7.7 PPG and over 10 RPG as a Junior. She made her presence known in the middle each game at that competed in and that's why she will be a collegiate athlete at the end of the day, following her high school career. If you look everything she brings with her as a competitor, you can't teach size and she does have some notable coordination/touch on the basketball. All of those things together give her some promise moving into the next level. She could make some things happen over time with the correct guidance. Wix led her North Bulter team last Winter in PPG and RPG from the 3/4 spot. She moved around effortlessly throughout the year and produced where-ever she was needed. She consistently showed up when the group needed it as a whole and that is why she was their overall leader. Both in production and just by example in every day life as well. We are looking for some big things out of Wix over the next eight months. She has demonstrated a solid foundation in the past and now she just hast build off of that for her Junior year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
