Below is a list of five players that have proven to be three level scorers. This means that the prospect is able to bring points to the board with her ability to get to the lane, create mid range and knock down from beyond the perimeter.
Jordan Meulemans Jordan Meulemans 5'10" | CG De Pere | 2022 State WI | Wisconsin Flight Elite | 5’10 CG
Meulemans is a well-built secondary guard that can really put points on the board. Her sturdy frame and strength allow her to shake off defenders in the lane and on the perimeter. She is an elite athlete, which will undoubtedly allow her to expand upon her game in college. She will be able to add so much more to her bag because of physicality and athleticism. Scoring is a major strong suite for Meulemans- shooting off the dribble also stands out. Her pull up jumper is arguably her greatest skill; being comfortable enough to shoot off the dribble while being contested. She does well against tough defense and is consistent when shooting from behind the arc. She utilizes the pound dribble not only to rise into her shot quickly but also to stop on a dime and freeze the defender.
Abbie Aalsma Abbie Aalsma 6'0" | CG Waupun | 2022 State WI | Wisconsin Flight Elite | 5’9 CG
Aalsma is a versatile talent that can do a bit of everything. She is a known three level scorer who can really put points on the board from every spot on the floor. She is extremely effective off the dribble. She utilizes impressive ball fakes in the lane in order to get defenders jumping, thus opening up easy bucket opportunities. When her back is to the basket, she plays with composure, and her fade-away jumper has improved faster than anyone this summer. Her greatest attribute is certainly her competitiveness. She brings a lot of fire to her team and is confident scoring at every level on the floor.
Mahra Wieman Mahra Wieman 5'10" | CG Reedburg | 2022 State WI | WIsconsin Legends | 5’10 CG
Wieman is a high ceiling guard who has added range and consistency to her shooting stroke. Catch and shoot scenarios from the three point arc are where she makes a lot of her contribution. Wieman always has her hands ready, which allows her to reduce her release time. She has a very consistent on dribble pull up game from the midrange- she’s often able to make very contested shots from this area as well. She has an innate ability to get her shot off in the lane even when heavily covered she can still get a clean look. Her high release point aids her in this because defenders cannot easily get a hand up high enough to contest.
Jada Eggebrecht | Wisconsin Playmakers | 5’8 CG
Eggebrecht is a springy athlete that excels at the point guard and wing position. She is a clear two-way prospect who also has a past first mentality. She is constantly looking for the open man, moving without the ball then finding herself wide open within the offense. She is very tenacious when targeting the ball, especially mid air. The Wisconsin Playmakers standout has really improved her shooting, especially from deep. She has a quick release and a smooth shot overall. Fast break situations are a major strength for Eggebrecht- she likes to get out and run. Her competitiveness is on full display when she is on the court and her hustle on both ends does not go unnoticed.
Grace Schmidt Grace Schmidt 6'0" | PF Watertown Luther Prep | 2022 State WI | Wisconsin Lakers | 6’1 PF
The lone forward on the list, Schmidt is an impressive forward who has proven she can play inside an out. She has great size and has a fantastic feel for the game along with her high basketball IQ. She is very athletic and versatile. She plays with high energy and an intense motor; this passion during the game is noticeable, as she is often making hustle plays and scrambling on the floor. She’s very good off the ball- she likes to cut through the lane and slash through the defense. Schmidt finishes well through contact, in large part because of her physical frame. She has a highlight play capability due to her natural instincts- she is often seen converting put back offensive rebounds. She has added a smooth release and nice touch to her shot- and her ceiling remains so high as she continues to improve in that aspect.
