The Top 250 Expo brought out a lot of Georgia’s talented prospects which included quite a few post players. Length and size are two of the intangibles that coaches love. Even more desired, are the players that bring a diverse skill set to the floor allowing them to play and defend multiple positions. Here is a list of forwards that showed the ability to do a little of everything.

The South Carolina commit left no room for discussion on who the best forward was when she was on the floor. She put together scoring stretches that included transition baskets and both interior and outside scoring. She has a very polished game on the inside where she can make the fadeaway jumper from the block or score with her baby hook which is almost impossible to contest. When working around the perimeter or in transition you can see her natural ability to play the game. She also showed up defensively, blocking shots and grabbing rebounds at will. It’s no question why she is always in consideration for the best player in the state of Georgia.
[player_tooltip player_id="191040" first="Aaliyah" last="Duranham"] | 5’10" | F/W | Griffin | 2023 - Duranham played with great effort and energy and had several coaches praising her motor. She has a strong build and an angry style of play. She took on and initiated contact on several of her baskets at the rim where she had a high conversion rate. She showed a nice jumper including a smart mid-range pullup in transition. She has the athleticism to be able to defend on the perimeter and showed enough ball-handling to be able to make strong drives. Her activity leads to several rebounds. A little undersized, but she has the physicality to compete on the interior.
[player_tooltip player_id="191048" first="Ariana" last="Dyson"] | 6’0" | F | Luella | 2023 - Dyson is another name to add to this list. She is a long and athletic forward that also showed a nice understanding of the game. She did a good job of spacing the floor, especially on drives from the perimeter by guards. She showed good hands and awareness catching some last-second drop passes from her guards around the rim and making a couple of timely cuts. She has a slim muscular frame and good strength which she showed by finishing through a foul in the game. She initiated her own offense after grabbing a rebound with a nice explosive dribble to the rim.
Keonna Curtis | 6’1" | F/W | Grovetwon | 2022 - Curtis has a nice interior skillset but is developing good skills to be able to play around the perimeter. Similar to Dyson she did very well spacing on drives by her guards. She stayed visible and made easy passing angles for guards to deliver passes for quick scores at the rim. She made several bust out dribbles after battling on the glass and even took one through traffic all the way to the rim. She made one jumper from behind the arc and showed good elevation on all of her attempts. Defensively she relies on her length to challenge shots at the rim and moves her feet well to stay in between the rim and the player she’s guarding.
Erial Owens | 6’0" | F/W | Hiram | 2022 - Owens has a nice blend of length and size. She has a good interior presence and proved that she can bang on the inside. She showed nice footwork by working her pivot to get open looks or make good passes out of the post. Her outside game was impressive as well. She was very effective when driving the ball and shooting her jumper including a three from the right wing. You give away a little athleticism but her toughness makes up for that. She picked up a couple of blocks at the rim when roaming on the defensive end.
[player_tooltip player_id="154592" first="Olivia" last="Hutcherson"] | 5’11” | F/W | Holy Innocents | 2023
Hutcherson is always fun to watch compete. She is an athlete on the court. She can defend the shooting guard through the center position well using her combination of strength and quickness. She is a decisive slasher when playing on the perimeter and a monster on the glass because of her impressive leaping ability. As her ball-handling continues to improve she will become a consistent threat to score after grabbing rebounds.
