North Dakota Preview: Class A Top Wings

<span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s never too early for too-early-season. With fall sports and school underway, it’s only a matter of time before the winter sports season is upon us. </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the top wings in Class A:</span> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="195227" first="Julia" last="Fitterer"], Bismarck Century</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Fitterer enjoyed a breakout junior season, averaging 13 points per game while shooting better than 40 percent from the 3-point line. She’s one of the most efficient players in the state and can torch opposing defenses from anywhere on the floor. She’s an adept playmaker who makes good decisions and her length allows her to defend just about anybody on the floor. </span> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98659" first="Ryleigh" last="Wacha"], Fargo Davies</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Wacha stuffed the stat sheet last year, averaging 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists for a Fargo Davies team that won the EDC Tournament championship. She’s a matchup nightmare for opposing teams because of her combination of size and activity level plus her perimeter skill. She’s the leader for an Eagles team that will be the favorite in the EDC.</span> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98722" first="Jailyn" last="Martinson"], Devils Lake</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Martinson led the Firebirds in scoring last year, averaging better than 13 points and five rebounds while being one of the most efficient players in the EDC. She’s a long, athletic wing who can not only defend multiple positions, but get out and score in transition and score in numerous ways. She’s an effective cutter, a strong slasher and finishes around the rim at a high level.</span> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98730" first="Sydney" last="Gustavsson"], Mandan</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Gustavsson was an excellent No. 2 option for the Braves last year, averaging about 14 points per game while shooting with excellent efficiency. She’ll have to take her game to an even higher level as a senior, as she’ll be the unquestioned leader of a Mandan team that has the returning talent to contend for a state tournament berth again. </span> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98646" first="Jilee" last="Golus"], Bismarck</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Golus was the go-to scorer for the Demons last year, averaging 15 points per game while serving essentially as the only consistent scorer for her team. She can shoot it from the perimeter, get to the paint and make plays, and she’s a solid rebounder and defender. If she shoots it with a little better efficiency as a senior, she’s got all-state potential.</span>
