PGH Kansas Top 250 Expo Review : Team #8

Here’s a look at the players of team #8. Taylor Claussen Taylor Claussen 6'0" | SF Manhattan | 2021 State KS , 6’0", SF/PF, Manhattan, 2021 -- Claussen played hard on both ends of the floor and hustled in transition. Often matched up with opposing power forwards, Claussen would occasionally get overpowered by bigger players.  She would then beat them down the floor for scores.

Emari Doby Emari Doby 5'9" | SG Shawnee Heights | 2023 State KS , 5’10", CG/SF, Shawnee Heights, 2023 -- Doby consistently disrupted wings and small forwards she was matched up with defensively.  She showed solid ability to get to the basket with speed and finish with athleticism. Alexis Matthews Alexis Matthews 5'8" | CG Francis Howell Central | 2024 State MO , 5’8", CG, Francis Howell Central (MO), 2024 -- Matthews drew defenders ranging from opposing PFs to SGs and she adjusted well to the changes.  She can shoot quickly with range from three. Emma Mitchell Emma Mitchell 5'10" | SF Rossville | 2024 State KS , 5’10", SF, Rossville, 2024 -- The lanky Mitchell looked to box away from the ball.  Box T Matthews perimeter late, not strongly.

Aubrey Rogers Aubrey Rogers 5'6" | CG Olathe East | 2022 State KS , 5’7", W, Olathe East, 2022 -- Rogers showed solid transition speed with the hustle and smarts to get to spots for the point could find her.  She has a solid, strong build.  Consistent on both ends of the floor. Isis Sanders Isis Sanders 5'9" | SG Maize South | 2022 State KS , 5’9", CG, Wichita East, 2022 -- A lefty who especially works strongly from the right wing, she aggressively attacked the basket and challenged defenders one-on-one in transition.

Addysin Scarrow Addysin Scarrow 5'6" | CG Galena | 2021 State KS , 5’6", SG, Galena, 2021 -- Scarrow ran the floor well, was a three point threat, showed an ability adjust her shot in anticipation of contact. Is able get good air under the ball with either hand to score around the basket.  Would like to see improvement in move anticipation and perimeter quickness defensively the ball. Hannah Smith, 5’6", PG, Blue Springs South (MO), 2021 -- A legitimate perimeter shooting threat, Smith showed her quickness and toughness defensively.  She transitioned both ways with solid speed as well. Lilly Smith Lilly Smith 5'0" | PG Topeka | 2021 State KS , 5’4", PG, Topeka, 2021 -- Quickly able to get to the basket off the bounce, Smith needs to sharpen control with her left hand drive and protect the ball better through the attack.  She showed three point range.             Lexi Moody, 5’4", PG, Odessa (MO), 2022 -- Moody was quick and evasive in the open court and showed a nice floater and ability to use the glass well off the bounce.
