- Brooklyn Patterson is a 5’2 2021 Guard from Omaha North. Brooklyn is a nice ball handler that can use her ball skills to change direction quickly and penetrate. She is very active trying to get in the lane to score or pass off. Brooklyn had success using a nice cross over move to score at the rim and also showed the ability to catch and shoot within the mid range area.
- J’Unti Franklin is a 5’7 2022 Guard from Lincoln. J’Unti turned many heads during this one day event. Her length jumped of the page to me and I loved what she did on the defensive end to block shots, tip passes and pull down rebounds. On the offensive end she showed deep range and ability to hit tough shots.
- Avery Heileg Avery Heileg 5'6" | PG Bellevue East | 2022 State NE is a 5’6 2022 Guard from Louisville. Avery impressed me as a very smart player. I saw fundamental plays that told me she has been well coached. Offensively that ranged from good passes, good spacing when a teammate was going to the rim and smart back cuts when her defender was trying to deny her the ball on the wing. Defensively I thought she did a very good job on her man but her help side defense really caught my eye. She was very good at hedging to the ball handler driving to the basket and then closing out properly back to her man.
- Ravyne Wallace Ravyne Wallace 5'8" | SG Omaha Northwest | 2022 State NE is a 5’8 2022 Wing from Omaha Northwest. Ravyne showed a well rounded offensive game. She made some nice jumpers off the catch and shoot opportunities in addition to showing the ability to attack the basket off the dribble. Once in the lane Ravyne showed a variety of finishes including the pull up for a short jumper, finishing at the rim with her weak hand and a nice stop on two spin back for the short jumper. She was patient with her moves and waited for the right opening.
- Taylor McCabe Taylor McCabe 5'9" | CG Fremont | 2022 State NE is a 5’9 2022 Guard from Fremont. Coming into the event I had not seen any of the girls play but just 2-3 minutes in Taylor was jumping off the screen. She is an excellent guard that can handle it and score it. Her ball handling allows her to get in the lane consistently but she is also a very good jump shooter. Taylor is a verbal commit to Iowa and it is easy to see why the Hawkeyes were on her early.
- Nicole Huss is a 6’1 2023 Post from Duchesne Academy. Nicole is long and still a little thin as a rising sophomore but shows some nice potential. She is very active on both ends. She does a good job on the boards and works well out of the high ball screen offense as she will roll to the rim hard every time. With increased strength to play through contact and the extra confidence that will give her, Nicole has nice upside.
- Madelyn Gaughan is 5’8 2023 Wing from North Bend Central. Madelyn is a strong player that has good skill and a nice feel for the game. She showed a nice mid range jumper that she can hit and also good court vision and passing skills. Madelyn used her vision to execute some nice assists to her teammates off drives when she kicked inside for a layup and also outside for an open 3-pointer.
- Freddie Wallace Freddie Wallace 5'11" | PF Lincoln Southwest | 2022 State NE is a 5’11 2022 Forward from Lincoln Southwest. Freddie has a very versatile game. She can play down low and be a nice post scorer but is also very comfortable out on the wing. She runs the floor hard and got some very easy transition layups by beating her defender to the rim. In the post she displayed a nice turnaround jumper off a fake the other way and a nice drop step. On the move from the wing she was able to get to the rim and also finished on a nice runner from 6-8 feet.
