Iowa’s Scoring Leaders: Class 4A

1 <strong>Megan Meyer</strong>, Mason City -- <em>24.8</em> It should come as no surprise that the state's third-ranked 2019 and future Iowa Hawkeyes guard Megan Meyer is leading the way in Class 4A. Her 24.8 points per game are tops by a wide-margin. Her 24 made 3s are fifth-best in the state. She also leads the Mohawks in assists, steals and rebounds. &nbsp; 2 <strong>Katie Keitges</strong>, Knoxville --<em> 21.6 </em> Keitges leads her 8-1 Panthers in nearly every conceivable category, not the least of which is scoring. She's been at this scoring thing for awhile now; as a freshman Keitges averaged 14 points per game, last season she netted 19.9 per game, and she'll likely better that this season. &nbsp; 3 <strong>Megan Witte</strong>, Lewis Central -- <em>20.6</em> As a sophomore, Witte averaged 11.5 points a game and was second-fiddle to then-senior Maegan Holt, This season she's leading the charge for the Titans. The 6-foot-1 forward has her Lewis Central squad out to a 7-0 start, and ranked No. 6 in the state. &nbsp; 4 <strong>Ella Skinner,</strong> Bishop Heelan -- <em>20.1 </em> The 11th-ranked Crusaders are led by this 6-foot post, who's not only scoring at a high clip, but doing so with some efficient 56.4 percent shooting. Even more impressive is her free-throw line prowess, she's made 36 of her 43 attempts this season. &nbsp; T5 <strong>Jordan Cunningham</strong>, Dallas Center-Grimes -- <em>19.9</em> This 5-foot-10 guard has been dynamic all season for the Mustangs, and was especially so in a Dec. 18th win over Indianola when she dropped 31 points on 12-18 shooting. Her 42.6 percent 3-point shooting is impressive and she's also leading her team in rebounding and blocks. &nbsp; T5 <strong>Macy Harris</strong>, Grinnell -- <em>19.9 </em> A 5-foot-7 senior, Harris is not only scoring the ball with the best of them, but she's dishing out 4.4 assists per game. She's a big reason the Tigers have raced out to an 8-0 start and are currently ranked No. 4 in the state. &nbsp; 7 <strong>Kayba Laube</strong>, Marion -- <em>18.9 </em> The efficiency that this future Northern Iowa Panthers guard is shooting the deep ball is phenomenal, she's made a state-high 35 3s this season, but has done so on considerably fewer shots than anyone even near her on that list. Her 50.7 percent 3-point shooting makes her one of the best scoring threats in Iowa. &nbsp; T8 <strong>Grace Boffeli</strong>, North Scott --<em> 17.6</em> The 6-foot-2 post has been instrumental in the 9-1 start for the Lancers. Not only is she a top scorer, but she's also one of the state's best rebounders, her 9.8 boards per game are sixth-best in Iowa. She might be the best scoring/rebounding threat in Class 4A. &nbsp; T8 <strong>Avery Fried</strong>, Bondurant-Farrar -- <em>17.6</em> Her scoring has helped the Bluejays to a 6-3 start this season, and she's just a sophomore. Sometimes younger players, even when scoring big, tend to struggle from the floor, not Fried, she's shooting 55 percent from the floor and 50 percent from deep. &nbsp; 10 <strong>Madison Dreckman</strong>, LeMars -- <em>17.5</em> LeMars is No. 7 in the state right now, look no further than Dreckman's success to see a big reason why. She's scoring it well, and also leading the Bulldogs with four assists per game. Her 5.4 rebounds per game is tops on her team, too.
