Greenon lost two key members to their program to graduation who were key components to their success, Reagan Ware and Delaney Benedict. Now the team transitions more to a younger lineup with two key sophomores likely being the fuel to their offense. Claire Henry is a 5-7 2023 who had a steady freshman season, is multidimensional and can guard multiple positions. Another sophomore to watch will be Abby West, who has improved a lot over the last year and will be a factor in their success.
What a fun team Catholic Central should have again this season. Yes they are the favorites with a D1 guard [player_tooltip player_id="211755" first="Abbigail" last="Peterson"], a junior post [player_tooltip player_id="92522" first="Mallory" last="Mullen"] who is a D1 prospect, and a rising junior in Serenity Castle who is an outstanding perimeter threat. Castle does have the talent to be one of the top players in the league. The junior class also has 5-7 Meghan Foster who should be a beneficial player to their success.
Keep an eye on Catholic Central incoming freshman Jorydn Smoot, a 5-10 wing who can do it all. She has incredible range and almost unstoppable on penetrating to the rim. She is going to be very special and is among the top freshman in Ohio. Incredible strength and good body control.
The youth in this conference will be strong this season, with a solid group of sophomores and incoming freshman looking to produce for their teams.
