10 Best: Pendleton Heights vs. Frankton

In the first round of the Madison County Tournament, Pendleton Heights came out on fire and easily dispatched the Frankton Eagles. After the first quarter the game was relatively close as Pendleton Heights held a 10-7 advantage. By the half they had stretched their lead to 33-13 over the hosts. <strong>MVP:</strong> Kailyn Graham (Pendleton Heights) Graham was really good in this one. She knocked down some early baskets and stayed active throughout. Did a little bit of everything and didn't play selfish even though she was hot early on. Loved her ability to facilitate the ball and keep it moving. Solid in transition and can score with ease. Committed to Indiana Tech <strong>Best Offensive Player:</strong> Kailyn Graham (Pendleton Heights) Like said above, Graham was feeling it as she led all players in points today. She can score in a few different ways as she is capable of knocking down the open shot but also gets to the rim really well. Solid transition scorer as she plays under control. <strong>Best Defensive Player:</strong> Niyah Loomis (Pendleton Heights) Loomis was all over the ball today as she garnered eight steals. She was able to get her hands on the ball and pick off passes. Loomis is someone that is able to read the eyes of her man and get in position to pick off passes at a high clip. <strong>Best Passer: </strong>Aleyah Rastetter (Frankton) Rastetter only had one assist in the game but she was constantly moving the ball around well and while she wasn't able to pass her teammates into scoring ability, her passes were very crisp and had zip on them. <strong>Best Rebounder:</strong> Chloe Thomas (Frankton) Thomas is a big player down in the post for Frankton. She is 6'2 and has a really nice frame. The scoring hasn't come around yet but it will soon. Right now, she is a very good rebounder with the ability to grab pretty much everything that comes off of the rim her way. Really good motor allows her to get a lot of the 50-50 balls off of the rim. <strong>Best Shooter:</strong> Bailey Tucker (Frankton) Tucker hit two quick 3-pointers in a row at one point in the game and you can really see that she can shoot it. Had a really nice baseline jumper as well. Good rotation on the ball and she has a very repeatable shot. Would love to see her be more aggressive with shot selection. <strong>Best Player I Didn't Know Before: </strong>Addie Gardner (Frankton) Gardner really impressed me in this one. She was quick with the ball and could handle it well for a 5'10 wing. I can see her staying on the ball or playing in the post in college as she is very versatile. A solid guard to give the ball to in the clutch as she is careful with it. Good vision allows her to dish out assists. <strong>Best Underclassman: </strong>Kylea Lloyd (Pendleton Heights) Lloyd was a freshman who looked solid in the time she is in. Looks to score the ball at the basket and good motor. Stands 5'10 so there is a ton of potential their as she develops her scoring ability. <strong>Best Non Starter: </strong>Megan Mills (Pendleton Heights) Mills came in and played really well for the time that she was in. Comes off of the bench and is a tall forward. Brings a bit of scoring as she finished with six points. There is a bit of potential here. &nbsp;
