[player_tooltip player_id="159011" first="Kilyn" last="McGuff"]- 6’0, F, 2021, Bishop Watterson: McGuff is a challenging player to contain for any opponent! Her physique, stamina, and strong knowledge of the game are just a few traits that set her apart from other players. A big time player who has bright future at the next level. She has excellent footwork and speed, and plays physical on both ends of the court. Her rebounding skills are just as impressive as her scoring.
[player_tooltip player_id="91078" first="Aja" last="Austin"]- 6’0, C, 2021, Westerville South: Austin, who is a University of Delaware commit, plays on a whole different level! Incredibly difficult to contain, because she truly dominants anything in the paint. Outstanding rebounder, very good with put backs. And she's very accustomed to being double teamed, and often times fouled while shooting- and still consistently makes the shots. Aja is a double-double machine, with points and rebounds!
Nelia Guice- 5’10, F, 2023, Westerville South: I'm not sure if I've seen a player show more heart and emotion on the court, more than this young lady. Her drive and competitiveness is shown on every drive, shot, rebound, and without question, her defense. Guice has a way of getting the team fired up and ready to challenge anyone. She has grown as a player, taking on a larger role with scoring and rebounding. Shoots the ball well from all areas of the court, demonstrates a level of aggressiveness like no one else. Great motor, nice handles, and fundamentally sound. (Featured photo, in black jersey)
Emoni Finch- 5’3, PG/SG, 2023, Westerville North: (Pictured below with ball). Emoni is a fiesty and outstanding guard, who wears her heart on her sleeve. She plays with zero fear, and has no problem defending opponents top players. Her defense is very strong, sits low with active hands, and can take off very quickly on transition. Finch has a beautiful outside shot, and can create a game for herself off the dribble, and draw the foul when going hard in the lane. She's a leader, who wants the ball- and she certainly takes care of business!
Charia Smith- 6’1, PF/SF, 2022, Westerville North: Smith gives her team so much strength and size- and she's a handful to guard. Very strong rebounder, and defensively she takes care of the lane- opposing guards earn their shots when trying to penetrate in the lane! She does a great job holding her position on the block. Her mid-range jumpers are consistent, and difficult to stop!
