Let’s start with the players who have committed to colleges.
Tanajah Hayes Tanajah Hayes 5'6" | PG Vance | 2021 NC (Vance, G, 2021) starts the game with a solid block, stealing the possession and pushing it up the court finding her open teammate for some easy points. She can also grab rebounds for her teammates coming out of nowhere as she follows shots. Her defense was lethal the whole game grabbing steals and knocking the ball away. She is committed to play at Florida International University.
Amhyia Moreland Amhyia Moreland 6'1" | PF Vance | 2021 NC (Vance, PF, 2021) is a rebounding machine, and she knows how to use offensive rebounds to score some second chance points. She has post moves that she can use when she gets set up in an offense that are certainly hard to defend. Her abilities don’t stop away from the basket as she can shoot it from behind the three point line as well. She finished with 22 points in the semifinal matchup including her 1000th point in high school, and she is taking those talents to Old Dominion University next year.
Nyla McGill Nyla McGill 5'8" | PG Providence | 2021 State NC (Providence, PG, 2021) has an amazing ability to find her open teammates right next to the basket no matter where she is on the court. She can jump into passing lanes, too, grabbing steals for her team. She makes her way to the basket weaving in and out of her opponents in order to lay it in. She finished with 13 points in the semifinal matchup. The Yale commit is certainly going to be able to make some immediate impact for her team next year.
Here are some players who certainly have the potential to play at the next level.
Leah Barringer Leah Barringer 5'8" | CG Zebulon B. Vance | 2021 NC (Vance, G, 2021) can move dynamically with the ball and find the basket scoring her points. She did so from the baseline and right down the middle of the paint. She showed she can pick the pocket of her opponents on defense as well pushing the ball up the court after grabbing the steal. She had a nice crossover move to get herself open and score three points. She finished with 11 points in the semifinals game.
Trinity Moreland Trinity Moreland 6'2" | C Julian Chambers | 2022 NC (Vance, C, 2022) does a great job making her presence felt inside sealing off her opponents. She moves up and down the court well looking for transition points. She is a force inside making it difficult for opponents to guard her or get anything accomplished close to the basket. She finished with 8 points in the game.
Madison Skinner (Providence, G, 2022) follows shots looking for rebounds to continue the possession for her team or end it for her opponents. She has a nice shot from behind the arc as well hitting shots at just the right time to give some life to her team. Her quick decision to shoot makes it difficult to close out on her before she is able to release the ball.
Eva Butler (Providence, G, 2022) does a great job jumping in front of passes keeping her opponents in front of her on defense. She is effective on the other end of the court, too, showing off her shot from downtown. Her speed is an asset on the court allowing her to chase down loose balls even beating opponents who had a head start on her.
Delanie Hill Delanie Hill 5'7" | CG Providence | 2024 State NC (Providence, G, 2024) can certainly get spacing from her opponents making them move one way while she goes the other to show off her shot. She runs the floor well looking for the pass in transition. She grabbed steals of her own to push up the court, too. She has great vision of the court finding her open teammates constantly keeping her head on a swivel. She follows shots grabbing rebounds, too.
Lindsey Nolan Lindsey Nolan 5'10" | PF Providence | 2024 NC (Providence, PF, 2024) playing in her first high school playoffs certainly didn’t show any nerves. She was in the right place at the right time grabbing passes from her guards and rebounds after shots. She finished with 11 points in the semifinal matchup with Vance.
