I emphasize over and over I have a daughter who plays in the WNBA, she had over 100 D1 offers and she’s a shade under 5’8, I know this stuff inside and out so believe whatever you choose, I don’t care, put yourselves in a position to be recognized and here’s how you can find me
Aubrey Beaty-6’2 (Platinum Basketball 2022 Bruce) 2022
Beaty first grabbed my attention with her size, I learned this from a college coach who used to scope out courts on a convention center and looked for players heads higher than everyone else so I tweaked it a little bit and watching her mobility with size starting with her playing the passing lane, I love that, as well as watching her not only rebound but go after the ball on whichever side and yes, she finishes but after she dropped the 3, I had seen enough
Giana Vlahakos-6’1 (Just Play Elite 2022) 2022
Vlahakos has fine-tuned her game each year, yes I pay attention to the small things that are actually big, like recognizing the “pick and roll” which she works well not to leave out her powerful finishes but that consistent rebounding on both ends, that igniting the fast break as well as her running the floor just all add up to something opponents have to deal with. Her interior defense is fierce, she will not let you outwork her but on top of all of that, she was definitely one of the best passing bigs at the event
Precious Jackson-Sanders Precious Jackson-Sanders PF Aldine MacArthur | 2022 State TX -6’1 (3T Elite)
Sanders has always been a player that went after everything, I caught her as a freshman in school and she left a lasting impression even though I was given the wrong classification, this is why rosters are important because I had her listed in 2021 Top 100. After seeing her with another club team hearing Beyonce and Madona, at least the grade was correct but I always say, I got the game right and she finishes strongly inside the paint, she rebounds on both ends and her defense, in the paint or on the ball is solid
Brianna Bowden-6’1 (Platinum Basketball 2023 Alexander) 2023
Bowden gives her club something many teams can’t say, two legitimate next level bigs and watching her finish around the basket with either a soft touch in front of it or understanding positioning and finishing on the inside yet that same positioning also helps her rebound and she does a good job on both ends of the court. She also runs the floor well but she still has some upside which is impressive, to say the least
Payton Conner Payton Conner 6'2" | C New Home | 2024 State TX -6’1 (Platinum Basketball 2023 Alexander) 2024
Conner showed me enough to make the 2024 deadline for Prep Girls Hoops Texas, this is why it’s important to put yourself in front of me, I know what I’m looking at and I have no agenda yet I was somewhat speechless watching her operate around the basket understanding how to not only “pin” the defender yet her mobility in the paint just captivated me but that’s not all because I had not looked at the roster and watching her do what she’s doing as a freshman will definitely open plenty of eyes
