States Session IV – Standouts

Multiple players impressed in the fourth session of the 2021 WVSSAC State Tournament. Take a look below at the standouts from that session.   [player_tooltip player_id="153370" first="Marley" last="Washenitz"] - Fairmont Senior - 2022 - Guard Undefeated Fairmont Senior rolled in their first round victory over Lewis County. Led by junior guard, [player_tooltip player_id="153370" first="Marley" last="Washenitz"]. Washenitz had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 steals. The Polar Bears will play on Friday in the semifinals.   [player_tooltip player_id="153325" first="Skylar" last="Davidson"] - Wyoming East - 2021 - Guard [player_tooltip player_id="153388" first="Daisha" last="Summers"] - Wyoming East - 2022 - Forward Wyoming East got out and early on Mingo Central, winning by 28. The Warriors were led by senior [player_tooltip player_id="153325" first="Skylar" last="Davidson"]. Davidson had team high 19 points, 10 steals, and 7 assists. [player_tooltip player_id="153388" first="Daisha" last="Summers"] added 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals. Wyoming East will face Petersburg in the semifinals.   Madisyn Curry - Mingo Central - 2023 - Forward Although Mingo Central was outlasted by Wyoming East, sophomore forward Madisyn Curry stepped up. Curry had 13 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Mingo Central looks forward to next season.   [player_tooltip player_id="153396" first="Abbie" last="Myers"] - Logan - 2022 - Guard [player_tooltip player_id="153372" first="Peyton" last="Ilderton"] - Logan - 2022 - Guard Logan pulled away big in a surprising way for the 4 seed vs 5 seed matchup. [player_tooltip player_id="153396" first="Abbie" last="Myers"] led with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 steals. [player_tooltip player_id="153372" first="Peyton" last="Ilderton"] added 16 points to Logan’s 31 point victory. Logan advances to the semifinals to face Fairmont Senior.
