We took five players from each grade level whom we believed could form the best starting lineup. Below are the five girls from the junior class.
PG: [player_tooltip player_id="153371" first="Dionna" last="Gray"] - Huntington
[player_tooltip player_id="153371" first="Dionna" last="Gray"] is a great example of hustle on the court. The Huntington guard will get after you defensively with tight on-ball defense. Gray on the offensive end is a driving force. She is very quick and hard to stop.
SG: [player_tooltip player_id="153374" first="Leslie" last="Huffman"] - Parkersburg Catholic
[player_tooltip player_id="153374" first="Leslie" last="Huffman"] always is a solid performer. Huffman finds her offensive game driving most of the time. She will also knock down the three and use her pull-up game. Huffman has a little bit of length to help defensively.
SF: [player_tooltip player_id="153370" first="Marley" last="Washenitz"] - Fairmont Senior
[player_tooltip player_id="153370" first="Marley" last="Washenitz"] leaves everything on the court every opportunity she gets. Any 50/50 balls, Washenitz makes sure she gives her team a chance to win them all. Washenitz gets it down on all levels offensively. Most impressively she can create space and has a very consistent, quick pull-up jumper. This is another great defender, sliding her feet to cut off the opponent.
PF: [player_tooltip player_id="153380" first="Marié" last="Perdew"] - Frankfort
[player_tooltip player_id="153380" first="Marié" last="Perdew"] isn’t a typical power forward, but with her size, she could pass as one. Perdew leans on her outside game as she loves shooting the three with her high-arcing shot. Perdew with a good frame though can go inside and move defenders around.
C: [player_tooltip player_id="153399" first="Meredith" last="Maier"] - Fairmont Senior
[player_tooltip player_id="153399" first="Meredith" last="Maier"] is a great versatile big for anybody. Maier is a great screener as she can be used to roll or pop. Maier can also score from all levels and has a speed advantage on other bigs.
