Gude falls into the “one of my all-time favorites” group because I have been watching her since elementary school and I used to tease her about her nickname being Lay Lay yet she would never share her Lay’s potato chips with me. Well, she finally broke down and gave me ONE during her sophomore season, ironically her high school team won its first of their B2B state championships yet the talented guard is leading the charge for the THREEPEAT. The Texas A&M Corpus Christi signee is one of the top defensive guards in the state yet her blistering passes with either hand from 20-plus feet on the money has been a joy to watch. She scores off the dribble and drops the mid to long-range

Gude has a unique nickname “Lay Lay” and an even more unique game as she can throw bullets in transition between defenders with either hand and watching her play the passing lane with precision is huge, yes I look at more than scoring because I am a REAL EVALUATOR. With that being said, she just went over the 1000 point mark and what’s even more impressive about that is that she’s not the first or second option, but getting hers in the flow, off the dribble as well as mid to long-range is just what she does
