Sydney McKinney
Sydney McKinney
McKinney is “long and athletic” which is and always will be the base and even though she’s a couple of inches shy of “the magic number”, she plays as if she’s taller than it. She goes after the ball of the rim, on both ends, and does a good job of finishing around then basket with power
Carroll continues to sing a different tune and I’ve probably used that one before but nevertheless, her progression over the years to go with her “college ready body” is going to create some problems for several teams. Her “hands and footwork” are nice, so are her finishes after contact yet I’m enjoying observing her put it on the floor and attack the basket as well as face the basket and score. Her interior defense has always been good yet her lateral movement has become a big plus
Smith will add even more on he interior for this talented squad and her timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots to go along with her rebounding strongly on both ends gives her squad 3 interior players that can get the job done. I caught her over the club season and with her being “long and athletic”, adding her to the rankings was easy
Gude has a unique nickname “Lay Lay” and an even more unique game as she can throw bullets in transition between defenders with either hand and watching her play the passing lane with precision is huge, yes I look at more than scoring because I am a REAL EVALUATOR. With that being said, she just went over the 1000 point mark and what’s even more impressive about that is that she’s not the first or second option, but getting hers in the flow, off the dribble as well as mid to long-range is just what she does
Highlights
Solange Loadholt
Solange Loadholt
Loadholt brings a variety of intangibles to the team starting with she “plays within herself” yet her on the ball pressure baseline to baseline helps to create turnovers yet that same intensity stands out in the set. She patiently sets the defender up to score off the dribble using a deceptive first step and her court vision is solid

Kelly will make my next update on the Top 100 as she showed me years ago what she was bringing to the table so let me start with her being an athletic guard that understands how to use her athleticism on both ends of the court. She’s another player that can get hers “in the flow” yet she also seems to have a knack to fall into that GAMECHANGER category by changing the momentum of game either applying heat defensively and coming away with a steal, or draining the jumper, mid to long range with a hand in her face
