Shay Ijiuoye is a five-foot-five guard from Arizona Elite Prep who also plays for her grassroots team, Arizona Elite. She is also the number one rated guard in Arizona for the class of 2024. Shay also maintains a 3.85 GPA. She averages, as a freshman, 16 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting 72% from the floor and 87% from the foul line. Playing for Arizona Elite Head Coach Brian Porth, Shay helped lead her team to the 28.5 League Championship last December. To date, Arizona State, Yale, and South Florida have offered this sophomore to be full scholarships.
Shay considers herself an aggressive defender and vocal leader. One scout feels, “She doesn’t force anything and gets to the paint when she wants and has a high basketball IQ.” Another scout had this to say about her game. “She plays her position at the point exactly as we expected her too given her style and skill set. She has the ability to lead the team from the point guard slot. She has the chance to be an elite option with a jumper that makes it hard for defenders to keep her in check.”
Eanae Dagons Eanae Dagons 5'3" | PG Desert Vista | 2024 State AZ is a five-foot-three-point guard for Desert Vista High School in Phoenix who also plays for her club team, Arizona Elite. Playing for Head Coach Dave Williams, she started as point guard as a freshman for the Lady Dragons in conference 6A. Last season Desert Vista finished 12-5 and 7-3 in their conference. She finished the season averaging 14.4 points per game, 2.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.6 steals.
As a freshman, Eanae was voted to the honorable mention All-Arizona team by AZ Central. One scout had this to say about her game. “Because of her speed and aggressiveness. the Lady Dragons will be fine as she continues to grow and improve.” With three years remaining as a high school player, she will continue to become a better player with a limitless ceiling.
Meisha Caserio Meisha Caserio 5'4" | PG Gilbert | 2024 State AZ is a five-foot-four point guard who plays for Gilbert High School and her club team, Arizona Elite. Last year the Lady Tigers finished 13-7 and 5-3 in their conference. Meisha led the team in scoring as a freshman, averaging 13. 4 points per game. She also averaged 3.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.4 steals. Gilbert lost to Flowing Wells last march in the state playoffs, 51-41. Meisha had 14 points and four rebounds in the loss. In February and March, she was selected five times by Max Preps as Player of the Game.
For the week of February 8-13 this past winter, Meisha was also selected by the Arizona Republic as Player of the Week (February 8-13) by knocking down 27 points on 53% shooting along with five steals in a 55-27 win over Ironwood High School. Playing for Head Coach Colton Walker in the competitive Class 5A conference, Meisha made San Tan All-Region’s first team. She also has a weighted GPA of 3.87 which made her Honorable Mention on the Sports 360AZ All-Academic Girls Basketball Team. An outstanding point guard, she has three full seasons to improve her skills and get ready to play at the next level.
Isabella Majarucon Isabella Majarucon 5'5" | PG Dream City | 2024 State AZ is a five-foot-five point guard for Deer Valley High School in Glendale. She also plays for her grassroots team, Arizona Elite. The Lady Skyhawks finished 15-4 last season and 8-2 in their conference. As a freshman, Izzy averaged 9.1 points per game along with 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 steals. She also shot 62% from the floor and made 10 of 15 three-pointers. Deer Valley lost in last March’s state tournament to Salpointe Catholic, 54-45.
Izzy made third-team All-West Valley Preps third team as a freshman. Playing for Arizona Elite 15U, she has a full schedule of summer tournament games before starting her sophomore year of high school. An outstanding scorer and defender, she has the opportunity to get a full college scholarship.
