Bella Fleming has a birthday coming up, how do I remember, it falls on the same day as my daughter’s and like my daughter, Fleming is showing not only #BCSLock yet the next level after the next level including WNBA so that’s one of the reasons I have the 2026 listed in the mix and because no one knows more things of RELEVANCE in this circus of egos and misleaders than I do so here are some more of my day 2 UNBIASED picks that caught my eye in the opening session, some roster information was screwed up, there were others yet....

2022
Audrey Beatty-6’2 PF/C (Aubrey HS) Texas Platinum 17U Bruce/Bartlett
Batty showed size also matters when you can play and understanding how to use her body combined with good hands and footwork gave her an abundance of powerful finishes, this includes outback’s and yes she rebounds well on both ends of the court, does a good job defending as well this includes outside the paint
Maggie Hutka-6’1 SF (Royse City HS) Texas Platinum 17U Bruce/Bartlett
I guess her length and attacking off the dribble was one of the biggest pluses she brought to the table yet the table kept getting set seeing her play the passing lane and handling the ball in the open court. She also did a good job of defending, on the ball and she rebounded on both ends, not to leave out dropped some outside shots
[player_tooltip player_id="276703" first="Nakiyah" last="Westbrook"]-5’3 PG (Collierville HS) Bluff City 17U Gold TN
Westbrook has a strong last name for basketball and she did a very good job running the 1, first of all she handles the ball under pressure, sees the floor the same way, under pressure but her ability to control the tempo just did it for me. Yeah, she can push in transition and hit teammates but she also can score, off the dribble or dropping the jumper
[player_tooltip player_id="245236" first="Taylor" last="Dupree"]- 6’3 C/PF (Arlington HS) Bluff City 17U Gold TN
Dupree is, drumroll please, long and athletic, and as I’ve stated countless times not just in here, that is the base. She plays the passing lane and when she gets the steal, it’s usually a basket going the other way because she can handle the ball in the open court yet that ball handling works in the half court as her first step is a monster and watching her finish, after contact, sometimes acrobatically, was nice
2023
Maddy Cannon-6’0 PF/SF (Bonita Vista HS) Troop West Black 17U CA
Cannon has nice size and some pretty good upside which speaks volumes because she can play right now. Sets the defender up nicely by creating her shot and attacking the rim, with either hand yet she also finished with with both and her rebounding, as well as defense was solid
2026
Bella Flemings-5’11 CG-San Antonio Finest Cee Lou
Flemings is heading to the 8th grade getting run on a team that won Adidas 3SSB, so for me to explain “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” and simpler than I’ve tried to show, in laymen’s terms, it’s a waste of time yet she will be #1 in Texas when it drops, she’s string and has a college frame right now. Attacks off the dribble, nice pull-up in transition, rebounds, defends and plays with poise, and most importantly, never scared
