2023 Player Rankings: The Debuts Pt. 2

Today we take a look at a few more of the players making their debut on the 2023 rankings. We added A LOT of new players to this list, deservedly so. The 2023 class in Oklahoma is loaded and the talents on this list are a big part of that. No. 65 - Jya Barksdale Jya Barksdale 5'4" | PG Midwest City | 2023 State OK | 5-8 SF | Midwest City - Jya is a vicious defender. A player that clearly "wants it," Barksdale goes hard all game long and really relishes the one-on-one battles within the game. No. 67 - Ariana Diaz Ariana Diaz 5'3" | PG Carl Albert | 2023 State OK | 5-3 PG | Carl Albert - Yes, she is shorter than your average point guard, but Ariana is all heart - and speed. She is quick and has quick hands on the defensive end. She reads the play well and forces a lot of steals. No. 70 - Holli Ladd Holli Ladd 5'9" | CG Seminole | 2023 State OK | 5-9 CG | Seminole - A guard with really good size that has a nice stroke from long range. She gets her shot off quick and is very accurate. Several coaches have reached out after seeing her jump off the screen on tape. Expect offers to come and for her to move up the rankings. No. 72 - Emily Martinez Emily Martinez 5'11" | PF Minco | 2023 State OK | 5-11 PF | Minco - A "small school big" who goes hard all game long. Fights hard on the block and secures a lot of rebounds. Good scorer from inside, but looks more like a true forward/center who is a rim protector and rebounder. No. 74 - Caroliena Diaz Caroliena Diaz 6'1" | PF Southmoore | 2023 State OK | 6-1 F | Southmoore - Diaz is very tall and very long. Well-coached and improving all the time. I look forward to seeing her this high school season. No. 75 - Jurnee Williams Jurnee Williams 5'3" | PG Howe | 2023 State OK | 5-3 PG | Howe - Jurnee is a very good defender. A true PG, she is smooth with the handles and has great court vision. Howe could be dangerous this season and Williams is a big part of that. No. 81 - Vivienne Hill Vivienne Hill 6'0" | PF Classen SAS | 2023 State OK | 6-0 F | Classen SAS - A very good player on a very good team, Hill uses her size very well on the block. She is a good scorer down low and has soft hands, doing a good job of receiving passes into the post. No. 82 - Alina Rangel Alina Rangel 5'0" | CG Sasakwa | 2023 State OK | 5-0 CG | Sasakwa - Honestly haven’t seen too much of Rangel, but she averaged 8.9 points per game as a freshman against decent competition. She is a good shooter and I look forward to seeing more this coming season. No. 83 - Yazmine Williams Yazmine Williams 5'8" | CG Eisenhower | 2023 State OK | 5-8 CG | Eisenhower - I made a note while watching her video that almost every highlight has her diving on the ground for a loose ball. What more would a coach need to see? You want a player that "wants it," here she is. No. 85 - Nakya Blakley Nakya Blakley 5'9" | SF Tulsa Memorial | 2023 State OK | 5-9 SF | Tulsa Memorial - Very good player who is extremely bouncy. Blakley is fun to watch and I can’t wait to catch a Memorial game this fall!
