Spears is a do it all wing-forward. Need a bucket? She'll get it. In a variety of ways. She can post up on the block. Or hit a turnaround jumper off that post up. The Porum standout is an eastern Oklahoma gem, who used AAU basketball to get on the radar. And should only continue to rise with a huge sophomore season.

Staying out east, there's the promising young Lady Tiger. She's a rangy guard, who jumps off the page with next level athleticism. Speedy and with hops. Her natural talent and enthusiasm is enough to land her next level opportunities. However there's a lot of untapped potential as a scorer. There's already moments which indicate she's capable of developing into one the better scorers in the Class of 2029. Shoots it clean and well in the mid-range plus from three. Also having flashes of improved handles, leading to potential to be an explosive driver. A player capable of making a big leap this winter.

As a freshman, Beard made her bread as a steady grinder around the rim as an important glue piece for the 3A champions. She was timely on the offensive glass and finished around the rim like an underclassman. However she's not just a blue collar forward. Beard is a quality floor spacer as a capable three point threat. AAU play this spring and summer gave her more shooting opportunities. She's also improved her ability to attack off the dribble, giving her more perimeter upside. Expect a breakout sophomore campaign for a player with a bigger role as Washington challenges for their third straight Class 3A title.

Defense is the calling card for Shockley. As she's a big time athlete and plays with her hair on fire. She'll get on the floor for loose balls. Smoother guards with her quickness and wingspan, while also skying for rebounds and blocks. Offense is the next horizon, which her quick first step makes her tough off the bounce. Especially as she appears to working hard to improve her balance and footwork on drives. If the game slows down for her on offense, look out for Shockley to have a huge impact on both ends for the Lady Hornets.

Nickson is the wildcard of this list, as the raw tools are clearly there for her to be a big time recruit. And while she did see good run as a freshman, she's still very much finding her footing as a player. When she's aggressive and locked in, she can be a game changer around the rim. She can cover a lot of ground on the defensive end, with the ability to cause havoc in passing lanes. Or cover smaller guards. Similarly she can alter shots around the rim or grab boards. Consistently excelling in the little things would be a great building block for Nickson to rise as a sophomore.
