Bella Borgos has been one of Iowa’s top producers on the offensive side of the ball the past three season at the Varsity level with her West Marshall High School team and as of most recent, she has committed to take those talents to the next level to compete with Lincoln University out of Missouri. Borgos’s elite scoring and facilitating ability will translate to the next level in a number of different ways, as long as her defense stays in tip-top shape, she is sure to see the court early on in her career. Up until this point in her high school career, she has seen a lot of success and if she really continues putting in the correct work, the sky is the limit for her at the end of the day.

If you know anything about Bella Borgos, it’s the fact that she has a superior scoring ability with the basketball in her hands from every offensive level on the floor. Borgos has been a big time leader for her Trojans program the past three years at the Varsity level. Last Winter she ended up averaging over 20 PPG, while also registering a handful of Assists, Steals, and Blocks at the same time. Borgos is a next level prospect in my opinion at the D3 and maybe even D2 level. As long as she can continue to be efficient as she shoots the ball, she is going to show that she can produce against some elite defenders and that would translate to the next level if given a shot.

Isabella Borgos Isabella Borgos 5'8" | SG West Marshall | 2025 State IA is one of the state’s most equipped Shooting Guards. Borgos really lights it up during the high school season with her West Marshall team, putting together some eye-opening highlights these past few seasons at the Varsity level. On the AAU season, Borgos does a good job of being efficient in her shooting and scoring aspects of the game. She understands that she is going to get less shots and touches because of the time of the contest as a whole, as well as that she has more skilled prospects around her trying to show off their ability at the same time and she still does a great job of standing out as being a viable scoring option at all times. This season at West Marshall, she will have a chance to put together one of the best statistical seasons throughout the state. She just needs to work on getting her team some wins at the same time and I’m sure she will be satisfied with those results in the end.

Bella Borgos is a flat out bucket. There is no other way to put it. She has a nasty handle with the basketball, while being an impressive scorer in the half court. I want to say that her best ability is shooting the ball but I think it’s more general than that. Like I said, she is a scorer. She can put the ball on the floor and create space in any given situation, she can find others with her vision in the full court, AND she can shoot the rock from deep at a high rate. This weekend she is going to have a chance to show some potential recruiters what she is all about. If she performs and looks like anything that she did during this past Winter, she is going to be receiving a lot of calls from the next level after this weekend comes to a close.

This week was our last week of the regular season for most teams throughout the state because of the Playoff’s approaching. During the week, we had several standout performances, from all different types of players but the most eye opening was a performance put on by Bella Borgos of West Marshall High School. Borgos led her team against a well-equip Carlisle team on Monday evening with a final stat line of 38 Points (10-23), 3 Rebounds, 4 Assists, and 6 Steals. This wasn’t the highest scoring outing of the week throughout the state but it was the most impressive. Taking into consideration the opponent, how close the game was throughout, and what this game meant for each team moving forward. I think it’s easy to see Borgos as the front runner this week with this performance. In the end, the Trojans won 67-62. Giving them some momentum to ride into the Post-season moving forward.

Borgos, a quick footed shooting guard, stepped up big time this year for her sophomore season. She is the definition of a shooter/scorer and she showed it off at an impressive rate. , who averaged just over 19 PPG. I think she showed a lot of promise moving forward. Over the next few seasons she is going to get the chance to step up more in her teams offense now that Reyerson is gone and make some big plays. I like her as their first option on the offensive end next season as long as she keeps expanding her game on all levels. This is a West Marshall team with a good foundation, solid coaching, and a nice core group coming back so if Borgos keeps on this trajectory she is going to be putting up some major numbers next season for the Trojans.
