Northwest Ohio Shootout- Top 2022-2023 (part 2)

A look at some more 2023 juniors who were at the Northwest Ohio Shootout at Van Wert High School last weekend. [player_tooltip player_id="216006" first="Gabby" last="Russell"], 5-11 2023, New Carlisle Tecumseh A player that adds depth to the floor. Her IQ helps her be useful to her team every possession. She is a strong outside shooter, high floor IQ, will rebound and finds the open girl to push the ball. One of the top players in the Dayton area, Gabby looks to help lead Tecumseh to the top of the CBC again this season. Ava Craddock, 5-9 2022, Lima Bath Ava comes from a traditionally strong Bath program with Greg Mauk. She is a physical player who can play through contact. A great piece of energy to any team on the floor. She’s strong and has an athletic build. Has a smooth shot and high skill, engaged in each possession, high floor IQ, strong defender in the paint, and pushes the floor. She missed last season with an injury so she has a lot to prove this year. Expect a big season for the Eagles junior. (pictured right) Shayle Greiner, 5-8 2023, Bowling Green Lots of grit and hustle from her each and every possession. She has strong size and plays with heart, has great strength with the ball, solid handles and does not quit on the play. Impressed on how hard she plays all the time. Showed good handles with the ability to create for her team. Abby Rawlings, 5-2 2023, Kings I saw her for the second time this fall with the first being at Wittenberg. Her energy on the defensive end is unmatched. She uses her size & speed to pressure her girl on defense, creates great deflections and has her hands all over place. She’s a tough matchup. Can score in multiple ways with good handles and a knack for making plays. [player_tooltip player_id="315018" first="Carly" last="Lehman"], 5-8 2023, Fairbanks A player with a deep skill set. Lots of tools to use on the floor to help her team be successful. She has a good set shot, knows where to put herself on the floor, has a high IQ on both ends and gets aggressive on D. Had a good summer with the Dayton Metro, a PGH Circuit team. She is a natural leader. [player_tooltip player_id="214506" first="Tristan" last="Nash"], 5-7 2023, Doylestown Chippewa Plays for one of the most storied programs and coaches in Ohio (Denny Schrock). The staff enjoyed watching her play. Does whatever is needed for her team on both ends, very unselfish and will pop shots if you leave a little space. She runs the floor well and is a strong defender. One of the most complete players in the gym on this day. Brooklyn Davis, 5-6 2023, Norwalk What a beast on the floor. She’s a natural born floor general, great energy and effort every single possession, leads vocally and is a great teammate. She’s a tough matchup in the paint...her strength & energy is hard to contain. One of the best players in the gym all day long. Had a lot of people talking. Katie Prusnek, 5-10 2022, Findlay High IQ and unselfish player. She’s a lefty with long arms. Always has active hands on defense to make it tough on them. She also can shoot and has a good floor awareness. Makes the right passes and works hard for her team. Impressive court knowledge and has a variety of moves, able to let it fly from behind the arc or get to the rim. Kendall Dieringer, 5-6 2022, St. Mary’s Memorial Her effort and energy is unmatched. She is strong and scrappy on the floor, has good foot speed when running the ball, and is always available for the next pass or to make a defensive stop. Handles the ball well, moves her feet well and is a good leader on the floor. Neveah Cable, 5-9 2023, Toledo Notre Dame A player who makes the game look easy. Very confident with the ball and smooth with her shot selection. Has great handles and footwork, not afraid to get physical. Can use her athleticism to be creative. [player_tooltip player_id="315019" first="Reagan" last="Courter"], 5-10 2023, Wapakoneta Tough player to match up with. She has a strong build and is tough to contain on a mismatch. She will post up if she can. Reagan (feature photo above) uses strength to get boards for her team and sees the floor well. High IQ and looks to make the right play. Able to score at the rim, good hands and footwork. Madison Acuff, 5-6 2023, West Clermont Always composed and uses her possession wisely when she has the ball. Strong handles and is tough to guard. She rotates well with the ball on offense, and is always in a ready position to shoot. Smart basketball player with court awareness and good handles.
