The speed, motor and her ability and mindset to play every possession with heart are what college programs are in need of. Williams has been one of the best athletes in her class, let alone the state for quite some time.

Easily one of the most athletic wings in the state, Williams showed yesterday that she can be a 3&D type when she gets to Winthrop next year. Persias has the up and down speed, the attitude and a magnetic energy that her teammates feed off on. Defensively her length and foot speed allow her to cover a multitude of players.

Williams came to play and was a factor from the opening tip against Westfield Prep. Her combination of strength and athleticism was on display early in the game. Williams attacked the rim off the bounce twice in the first few minutes of the game, scoring on both and using that strength to finish through contact and draw a foul. She went to the line throughout the game and was active on the glass.

Easily one of the most athletic basketball players in the state.. Williams gets “alley top” plays drawn for her.. which she give you a clue of her versatility as basketball player. A three level scoring threat who plays the game at a CONTROLLED 100mph. On the defensive side, theres no drop off either. She plays with so much grit and passion. William’s aggression, her tough minded mentality, and the maturity she has to be coachable, are skills within itself. Tremendous upside at the next level.

An athlete to her core, Williams is the perfect match of strength and speed.. but she knows when and how to use it. She can run the floor and take over as a playmaker when needed, but also can score without having to have the ball in her hand. A player who is full of energy and focus. Defensively she can contain and deal with most if not all positions on the court. A top tier “two-way” player who is forsure to put on a show this upcoming basketball season.
