The 8-team field featured a variety of schools from around the Palmetto State. Prep Girls Hoops walked away with a few new names to add to the database for sure in the years to come. Madison McCain Madison McCain 5'11" | C North Augusta | 2025 State SC (2025) – Fox Creek HS (pictured on front)
McCain was great today in the post for the Lady Predators. Madison recorded 21 points and 19 rebounds according to my own unofficial stats. McCain does such a great job of seal the defender, using her body to draw contact and keeping the ball up high after rebounding it. Madison understands where her bread is buttered down in the paint near the basket. She has GREAT HANDS and soft footwork to work both sides of the paint. Madison plays with her back to the basket for the most part while really looking to go to work down inside the paint. Madison NEVER took a play off day while on the floor.
Janiya Richburg Janiya Richburg 5'9" | SF Loris | 2025 State SC (2025) – Loris HS
Richburg is as TOUGH AS A $2 DOLLAR STEAK. Janiya helps you win games with her play on the floor. Richburg actually played last season as 8th grader at Green Sea Floyds HS. Janiya left-handed forward brings good versatility to the floor and even a better demeanor. Janiya plays bigger than her size on both ends of the floor. She will grab a rebound on the defensive end of the floor and at times dribble it up or find a teammate with a good outlet pass.
Teanna Perry Teanna Perry 5'1" | PG Loris | 2025 NC (2025) – Loris HS
Perry struggled at times today and tried to do too much for the Lady Lions. Teanna brings a fearless attitude and mindset to the floor for Lady Lions Head Coach Douglas Gause.
Danyri Leggette Danyri Leggette 5'5" | PG Carolina Forest | 2025 State SC (2025) – Carolina Forest HS
Leggette came off the bench for the Lady Panthers and made a few key plays to help them secure the victory.
D’Essence Graham D’Essence Graham 5'3" | CG Carvers Bay | 2025 State SC (2025) – Carvers Bay HS
Graham made a good showing for the Lady Bears by scoring a baker’s dozen in a loss to Marlboro Academy.
Shantavia Hilliard Shantavia Hilliard 5'6" | SG Green Sea Floyds | 2027 State SC (2026) – Green Sea Floyds HS
Hilliard helped the Lady Trojans win in overtime today by scoring 14 points. Shantavia is a sleek wing player still trying to figure out how to play hard every possession on the floor. She did her best job scoring the ball in transition for the Lady Trojans. Shanavia who is just a 8th grader should pick up plenty of game time experience this season for Head Coach Tracy Kienast.
Miracle Mclean Miracle Mclean 6'2" | C Carolina Forest | 2026 State SC (2026) – Carolina Forest HS
Miracle is just what Lady Panthers Head Coach Stacy Hughes wanted on her roster. McLean 6’1 post runs the floor extremely well while gliding from side to side. Miracle is still RAW on the offense end of the floor. McLean has picked up good skills along the way already while being extremely active on both sides of the floor.
