#1 Heavenly Greer 6’3 Shadow Mountain
Greer comes in at #1 and she has some notable attention. Greer is listed as the 60th overall player in the 2020 Class by ESPN with a scout grade of 90 and she was invited to the Team USA Trials in Colorado. From watching her play, you can tell that Greer has a lot of potential to become even better than she already is. This season, she averaged 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Greer also helped lead her team to a 4A State Championship.
#2 Ali Zelaya 6’4 Millennium
Coming in at a very close second is Ali Zelaya. Zelaya had a terrific season, averaging 15 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block per game. She also helped her team win the 5A State Championship. Greer and Zelaya are neck and neck when it comes to who is the #1 player in the state. I believe that Zelaya is the better player right now but ranked Greer as the #1 player due to her insanely high potential.
#3 Dyamond Butler-Worley 6’0 Shadow Mountain
I am a big fan of Butler-Worley’s game. She does a little bit of everything and brings a certain level of toughness that is unmatched. This season, she averaged 11 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block per game. Her toughness and versatility were a huge contribution to Shadow Mountain’s 4A State Championship.
#4 Amiya Josey 5’10 Basha
#4 goes to Amiya Josey out of Basha High School. This lefty is a very good shooter who can push the pace when necessary. She’s very versatile, whether it is collecting boards, scoring the basketball, or bringing the ball up court. This season, she averaged 21 points, 1 assist, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal per game.
#5 Loraya Rocha 5’9 Rincon
Loraya Rocha had a terrific season this year, breaking into the 1,000 point club. Much like the other players on this list, Rocha is very versatile and gives Rincon a bit of everything. I would say that she is definetly more a scorer but she still contributes in all major categories. This season, she averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals per game.
