Holiday Tournament Recap: Monday Standouts

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top standouts from Monday’s holiday tournament action from around the state. 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="168742" first="Madison" last="Nelson"] (Kingston): The 5’10" guard scored 40 points in Kingston’s 60-53 victory over Jefferson in the first round of the Bob Sechrest Tournament at Park Hills Tournament. [player_tooltip player_id="162388" first="Saniah" last="Tyler"] (Incarnate Word): The 5’7" guard scored 20 points in the Red Knights’ 65-55 victory in the semifinals of the Visitation Christmas Tournament. Riley Arnold (Blue Eye): The 5’7" guard scored 22 points in Blue Eye’s 72-62 victory over Clever in the first round of the Pink & White Tournament, White Division. Hailey Shannon (Cabool): The 5’9" senior scored 37 points in a 56-52 victory over Seymour in the first round of the Mountain Grove Tournament. Libby Brewster (Francis Howell): The 5’9" senior scored 28 points in the Vikings 45-38 victory over Lindbergh in the first round of the Rockwood Summit Tournament. Cassidy Hembleton (Dora): The 5’6" guard scored 26 points in the Falcons’ 57-41 victory over Bradleyville in the first round of the Mountain Grove Tournament. Kianna Herrera (Bishop LeBlond): The 5’11" guard scored 18 points to lead the Golden Eagles to a 66-27 victory over Nodaway Valley in the first round of the LeBlond Tournament.   2023 [player_tooltip player_id="324152" first="Kianna" last="Yates"] (Carthage) (pictured): The 5’6" guard scored 25 points in Carthage’s 56-49 victory over Ozark in the first round of the Pink & White Tournament, Pink Division. [player_tooltip player_id="170601" first="Raychel" last="Jones"] (Vashon): The 5’10" guard had 23 points and 12 rebounds in a 51-46 victory over Capital City in the first round of the Jefferson Bank Classic in Jefferson City.     2024 [player_tooltip player_id="194409" first="Chantrel" last="Clayton"] (Cardinal Ritter): The 5’7" guard scored 26 points in the Lions’ loss to top-ranked Incarnate Word in the semifinals of the Visitation Christmas Tournament.   2025 [player_tooltip player_id="302779" first="Jordan" last="Speiser"] (Lutheran-St. Charles): The 6’0" guard scored 33 points in the Cougars’ 65-52 victory over Fort Zumwalt South in the first round of the Chic-Fil-A Tournament at St. Dominic.
