<strong>Florida’s Statistical Leaders: Rebounders</strong> By Michael Wholey 2/1/21 9:00 AM EST <em>Maxpreps tracks the state’s statistical leaders based on what is inputted into the system by a coach or program director.  With the regular season wrapping up and District and Regional playoffs starting up, we take a look at the rebounding statistical leaders in Florida.  </em> &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="154906" first="Kennedy" last="Cannon"]</strong> (Centennial) – Class of 2022 – Center <strong>Average</strong> <strong>Per Game</strong>: 16.6 <strong>Total Rebounds</strong>: 249 <strong>Games Played</strong>: 15 Cannon’s numbers have been impressive all season for Centennial.  She is averaging a double-double on the season averaging 14.3 points per game to go along with 16.6 rebounds per game.  She has hit the double digit rebound mark in 13 of the 15 games.  Her most impressive game came last week where she went for 30 and 30, dropping 35 points to go along with 30 rebounds vs Westwood, helping her team to a 66-59 win! &nbsp; <strong>Rhyanna Jean</strong> (Altamonte Christian) – Class of 2024 – Forward/Center <strong>Average</strong> <strong>Per Game</strong>: 15.5 <strong>Total Rebounds</strong>: 279 <strong>Games Played</strong>: 18 Jean has been a beast on the boards all season, currently averaging 15.5 rebounds per game on the season.  She gets it done both the offensive boards as well as the defensive boards, as she has hit the double digit rebound mark 16 of 18 games this season including three games with double digit offensive rebounds.  She has hit the 20 rebound mark three times this season, grabbing 21 rebounds versus Cornerstone Charter Academy, 20 rebounds versus Tavares, and a season high 22 rebounds versus Oasis Christian on December 7<sup>th</sup>. &nbsp; <strong>G’nya Roberts</strong> (Coral Park) – Class of 2022 – Forward/Center <strong>Average</strong> <strong>Per Game</strong>: 15.5 <strong>Total Rebounds</strong>: 155 <strong>Games Played</strong>: 10 Roberts is just shy of averaging a double-double on the season as she averages 9.9 points to go along with 15.5 rebounds per game.  Coral Park has played only 10 games on the season and Roberts has been quite effective in those 10 games.  She has grabbed 20 or more rebounds three times this season grabbing 21 rebounds to go along with 12 points versus Southridge in December, 21 rebounds and 14 points vs Southwest in January, and a season high 27 rebounds vs Riviera Prep on January 10<sup>th</sup>. &nbsp; <strong><img class=" wp-image-309526 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/07/Brown-scaled-e1626895008159-238x300.jpg" alt="" width="208" height="262" />[player_tooltip player_id="91600" first="Marissa" last="Brown"]</strong> (Choctawhatchee) – Class of 2022 – Wing <strong>Average</strong> <strong>Per Game</strong>: 14.9 <strong>Total Rebounds</strong>: 149 <strong>Games Played</strong>: 10 Brown is one of the state’s top unsigned Seniors and has been putting up big numbers all season!  She is averaging 18.3 points and 14.9 rebounds per game.  The 6’1 Senior has hit the double digit rebound mark in all 10 games and double-digit points in 9 of her teams 10 games.  Her best individual performance came in a gut wrenching 49-48 loss to Booker T. Washington where she scored 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds! &nbsp; <strong>Mikayla Cintron</strong> (Zephyrhills) – Class of 2022 – Forward/Center <strong>Average</strong> <strong>Per Game</strong>: 14.8 <strong>Total Rebounds</strong>: 295 <strong>Games Played</strong>: 20 Cintron has impressively grabbed double digit rebounds in all 20 games for Zephyrhills this season, averaging 14.8 rebounds per game.  She has been extremely consistent and persistent on the glass and has grabbed a season high 17 rebounds four times, most recently vs Lecanto last week! &nbsp; <strong>Sadie Wilke</strong> (Redeemer Christian) – Class of 2022 - Forward <strong>Average</strong> <strong>Per Game</strong>: 14.6 <strong>Total Rebounds</strong>: 263 <strong>Games Played</strong>: 18 Wilke has been a consistent presence on the boards all season, averaging 14.6 rebounds per game for Redeemer Christian.  She has hit the double-digit mark in 14 of the teams 18 games, including four games where she has had double digit offensive rebounds! Her top games on the season have been a 19 rebound and 10-point effort for Cedar Key on January 20, a 20 rebound (10 offensive and 10 defensive) game vs Ocala Christian on December 6, and a season high 24 rebounds on December 14 versus St. John Lutheran. &nbsp; <strong><img class=" wp-image-309342 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/07/20210720_144946-scaled-e1643639366603-210x300.jpg" alt="" width="180" height="257" />[player_tooltip player_id="91588" first="Janiyah" last="Jackson"]</strong> (St. Augustine) – Class of 2022 – Forward/Center <strong>Average</strong> <strong>Per Game</strong>: 14.4 <strong>Total Rebounds</strong>: 273 <strong>Games Played</strong>: 19 Jackson is having a big time Senior season, averaging 14.4 rebounds, 15.6 points, and 4.1 blocks per game, leading St. Augustine to a perfect 19-0 record.  Jackson has been extremely consistent and effective as she has grabbed double digit rebounds in every game this season, scored double digit points in 16 of 19 games, and had 16 double doubles on the season!
