Recruiting Updates

With all the high level talent in Michigan, there seems to be constant recruiting news. Homan is a high percentage shooter with range that extends beyond the arc. She does a nice job staying focused and shooting over top of the defense. Homan has sneaky good handles and a nice aggressive first step to the bucket. She has a very tough straight line drive to the rim and is a strong finisher once she gets there. Homan is underrated as a prospect and should be jumping up the rankings. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="335989" first="Samyiah" last="Jefferson"] (2023, PG, Detroit Mumford)</strong> Jefferson received an offer from Schoolcraft College. https://x.com/TinySamyiah/status/1487541957769445383?s=20&amp;t=WVU_03xAZBMkN4i_RmC7cg She’s having an outstanding junior season at Mumford and has really put her game on display. Jefferson is a strong and physical guard that can make plays when the ball is in her hands. She’s aggressive off the dribble and forces the hands of the defense. Jefferson does a nice job shrugging off contact and finishing through it. She’s proven that she can be counted on to make big plays in crunch time. I really like Jefferson’s potential as a player and she is ranked very high in her class accordingly. <strong>Karianna Woods (2022, CG, Arbor Prep)</strong> Woods committed to Bethune Cookman. https://x.com/woods_baller30/status/1483518879229956096?s=20&amp;t=WVU_03xAZBMkN4i_RmC7cg This is a great fit between player and program. Woods can be absolute money off a catch and shoot triple from the corner and the wing. She can finish athletically at the rim with solid body control. Woods has the mid range game to match, showing nice touch on the ball and some wiggle that gets her looks at the rim. She’s a very good defender and 2 way player that makes it hard for a coach to take off the floor. Woods is a high energy and high activity player.
