Skillful shooting-guard committed to New Mexico Highlands University. For the 2023-24 season, Maes averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game helping take SPX to the 4A title game. Maes takes a high volume of midrange shots and is comfortable utilizing pull-up jumpers, with one or two dribbles going left or right.

Question #1: What was your thoughts on how the season went this past year? 

Answer: I thought the season went pretty good for myself as well as the team. Although we came up short in the State Semifinals, we accomplished many things this year. The team and myself have made a lot of growth this year as well.

Question #2: What are some points of emphasis this off-season?

Answer: Some points of emphasis for me this off-season are to become a better leader. As a team, we need to continue to work everyday and just trust one another.

Question #3: What do you want to accomplish next season?

Answer: Next season I would like to achieve winning a State Championship. I would also like to achieve being Player of the Year again, First Team All-State and First Team All-Metro.
