was finally back on the courts after missing the last week of regular season in high school basketball and the District playoffs. Spivey was on her game and displayed grit, toughness, and a high basketball IQ. She got to the rim with ease and really shot it well from behind the three point line. She kept the pressure on the defense by driving the ball, and she passed it well after drawing the double team. The most intriguing part of Spivey’s game was her competitiveness. She took offensive charges, dove on the floor for loose balls, and did whatever it took to win.

was another special Junior I saw during week 1 and week number 2. Spivey knocked down some three point shots and what I was really was impressed by was her leadership on the floor. Spivey did a good job of running her team’s offense and settling the young players down when needed. Spivey was one of the primary outside shooters last season and was one of the District leaders in threes. This year, in. addition to averaging 9 pointsperf game, Spivey is running the point and providing leadership for her young team.
