There is little time for rest for the serious year-round ballers that are working to take their recruitment to the next level. We will take a look at prospects in the 2023 class that have strong potential to see their stock rise.
2023 6’1 SF/PF Claire O’Connor Claire O’Connor 6'1" | SF Lakeside | 2023 State WA (Lakeside HS) – Lefty swing forward that has great strength in the paint, good footwork and a soft touch with her shot. O’Connor is a mismatch problem for most 4’s with her skill and a mismatch with her size for most 3’s. Look for her recruitment to continue to really take shape.
2023 6’4 C Naomi Hotchkiss Naomi Hotchkiss 6'4" | C Puyallup | 2023 WA (Puyallup HS) – A prospect that continues to improve with her all around game. Hotchkiss has a soft touch on her face-up shot from the short corner or high post. She anchors the middle on defense and can take a dribble or two and get to the basket from the high post and finish with either hand. She has a strong following of college coaches, most recently visiting Rice University.
2023 5’11 SG Isabel Sullivan Isabel Sullivan 5'11" | SG Eastside Catholic | 2023 State WA (Eastside Catholic HS) – Lefty guard that is taller, stronger and more confident than ever before. Sullivan has a shifty handle with play making ability to score from all three levels or set up her teammates for good looks. After a really strong Winter with her high school team, if she can give solid production this Spring/Summer then a lot of opportunities could open up.
2023 6’2 C Ava Schmidt Ava Schmidt 6'2" | C Eastlake | 2023 State WA (Eastlake HS) – A late bloomer center prospect whose game has really come along. She is a capable midrange shooter, has a solid face up game and soft touch finishing off the glass from the left wing. A Division 1 prospect in the 2023 class.
