Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Kitt is a great athlete for the Lady Wolverines. She excels in the spring as a track and field athlete also for Woodland HS while playing volleyball in the fall. What sport will she look to entertain at the college level?
Kitt is a high motor kid in the paint area and plays the game as a quick leaper. Lyniah averaged 10.5 ppg this past season as forward-post for the Lady Wolverines.

Prep Girls Hoops didn’t see much of Kitt this summer on the Grassroots Circuit. Lyniah has really good footwork around the paint area. She runs the floor very nicely while filling the lane in transition.
Kitt is a quick leaper, and it shows because she also excels in track and field for the Lady Wolverines. Lyniah plays bigger than her size down in the paint. She averaged 12.3 ppg last season for the Lady Wolverines (13-9).

Kitt stayed silent most of the summer it seemed. Lyniah a track and field athlete plays the game bigger at times down around the paint. She’s a quick leaper and really shows to have quick feet around the paint area.
Kitt plays the game well around the ball and really seeks it out while on the court. Lyniah manufactures most of her efforts and points in just being in the right place on the court and rebounds. She plays at Woodland HS for the Lady Wolverines.

(*PGH Preseason Player of the Year*)rnPrep Girls Hoops became familiar with Kitt throughout the offseason and travel campaign. Kitt wore the Team USC Unleashed 2024 uniform and her travel team made a couple of appearances on the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Triumph Region. In addition to basketball, she has also played volleyball. At a tall 6-foot-1, she uses every bit of her height advantage to come up big with high-percentage shots. Kitt plays the game on contact and has no problems taking her opportunities at the line. If she is unsuccessful with a free throw attempt, she is likely to haul in her own rebound.

Kitt benefitted from a great spring and summer with her play. She really has seen her Stock-Rise and Prep Girls Hoops has surely noticed her with her play. Lyniah has a GREAT MOTOR that just keeps going and going on the floor. She really runs the floor well and gets to her spots around the paint.
She plays the game extremely active and always remains around the ball. Kitt cleans up on the glass and at times could have double-digit rebound totals before the halftime intermission. She will continue to get better for the Lady Wolverines and the future is bright her down the road.

Lyniah was one of the last kids to get in the camp and we are surely glad she made it up to the Grand Strand. She played GREAT all day long.
Kitt plays with a MOTOR at all times and rebounds everything in sight of her. According to my unofficial stats she recorded 17 rebounds in a running clock game and scored everything around the cup.
She stays around the basket and scores all of her points from 2 feet in just on effort and determination. Lyniah had a strong showing this summer and looks to be a late bloomer on the hardwood. She is a well-rounded athlete and also partakes in Track & Field.

Prep Girls Hoops got a glimpse of Kitt on several occasions this past AAU season as Team USC Unleashed 2024 made a few stops on the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Triumph Region. That included the Knoxville Knockout at Rocky Top Sports World. Kitt also plays volleyball along with basketball. She uses her height advantage to come through with high-percentage shots. Kitt can draw contact and find her way to the free throw line. If she is unsuccessful on an attempt at the line, she will corral her own rebound. Kitt and Team USC Unleashed 2024 also participated at the Lowcountry Summer Shootout in Summerville.

With a 6-foot-1 frame, Kitt presents an advantage over many a frontcourt foe as she is one of two on the Team USC Unleashed roster at that particular height. She puts herself in position to convert on high-percentage shots near the basket and can gather either defensive or offensive rebounds. She has no issues drawing contact that place her at the free throw line and can get her own rebound if she is unsuccessful at the stripe. Among the events Kitt’s stellar play came through were Knoxville Knockout on the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit and the Lowcountry Summer Shootout in Summerville.
