Parker made the move over this off season from county rival Gaffney HS. Shyrique picked up an offer from South Carolina State University this summer. She brings good versatility to the floor with her ability to play multiple positions.
Parker has guard skills to handle the rock in the front court or simply take it out to the perimeter for an open jumper. She averaged 12.7 ppg and 5.5 rebounds last season for the Lady Indians while at Gaffney HS. Parker drops down to the Class 2A level this season after playing at Class 5A.
Brown brings the ability to play face-up to the basket with a nice soft touch from perimeter at times. Savannah passes the ball very well from the high post and has a good eye for a open teammate on the floor.
Savannah was a teammate of Shyrique Parker on the Grassroots Circuit with the FCA Eagles. Brown averaged 12.3 ppg, 9.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists last season for the Lady Cardinals (18-7). Savannah enters her senior season with 753 career points.
Diggs is certainly an off the grid type player who plays up in Chesterfield County for the Lady Rams. Kierra brings nice versatility to the wing position for the Lady Rams. She ran this Grassroots Season with Lady Attack based out of North Carolina.
She averaged 12.8 ppg, 9.7 rebounds and 3.6 steals last season for the Lady Rams. Diggs looks to stalk along the baseline and drop the short jumper from time to time. Kierra plays active in the passing lanes with her ability to pick up deflections along the way.
Prep Girls Hoops didn’t see much of Kitt this summer on the Grassroots Circuit. Lyniah has really good footwork around the paint area. She runs the floor very nicely while filling the lane in transition.
Kitt is a quick leaper, and it shows because she also excels in track and field for the Lady Wolverines. Lyniah plays bigger than her size down in the paint. She averaged 12.3 ppg last season for the Lady Wolverines (13-9).
Mintz helped the Lady War Eagles to a Class 2A State Championship this past March. Jordan really does a nice job of keeping the ball low to the deck and rarely turns it over. She will drop a floater to the cup at times while in the lane.
Jordan is shifty with the ball in his hands and does a nice job of changing directions. Mintz is a pesky defender with a quick set of hands.
Can Head Coach Brandon Wallace and the Lady War Eagles get back to the final game next season in Florence for a repeat?
Taylor was nowhere to be seen this summer on the Grassroots Circuit. She has been very instrumental in the Lady Bulldogs success over the past few years with Head Coach Chasen Redd in charge.
Ahminah plays the game very aggressive on both ends of the floor. She at times will bring a mean streak and a competitive edge to the floor. Taylor averaged 14.2 ppg last season for the Lady Bulldogs (19-4). Just a few seasons ago the Lady Bulldogs played in the SCHSL State Championship Game vs Saluda HS.
Can the Lady Bulldogs get back to the State Championship and have a trip to Florence in the future come next March?
Ford does her best work around the paint preferably playing 2-4 feet away from the cup. She’s an above average passer at times while on the floor. Tynasjia will carve out space down low and really look to receive the ball while posting up.
She’s plays most effective closer to the basket. Ford will keep the ball up high after claiming it off the glass. She will look to improve on her numbers this season with the departure of a few players from the program.
