Despite the loss, Dover’s superstar had a monster outing against Lamar.

continued to show everyone why she is one of the better two-way players in the state.
Young put up 24 points, 15 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks in the title game. There was not much going wrong for her on offense. She scored 8 field goals with 1 coming from beyond the arch. She was very successful at getting to the free throw line. Young went 7/10 from the stripe.
15 rebounds are outstanding, but what is more impressive is how 8 of them were on the offensive end. Lamar was unable to successfully put a body on her in the post, leading to her incredible performance on the glass. Like she was when she was boxing out, Young was hunting for the ball on the defensive end. She deflected passes, protected the rim, and played hounding on-ball defense.

finishes her career with a profound showing. Though her team came up short, she leaves behind a legacy and will look to be the next great player at Arkansas Tech.

will provide much-needed help to a struggling Arkansas Tech team next season. For now, she will continue to tear up the defense with her all-around play.
The first part of Young’s game that I should mention is her scoring ability. She has one of the best scoring averages in the state, putting up 20.5 points a night. I have talked about Young in the past, and she has an old-school type of game. Her go-to move is the turn-around mid-range jumper. She uses great elevation to propel herself over the defense, then splashes the jumper with a pure form. Young has been a double-digit scorer in all four years on varsity, and she has made some strides in her game during the 2024/25 season.
Young was a 32% 3-point shooter as a junior. This year, she knocks down threes at a 46% rate. Her free throw percentage has also improved, increasing from 73% in her sophomore season to 91% as a senior.
On the other side of the ball, she is extremely active. Young averages 2.6 steals and 0.8 blocks per game. She also asserts her will on the boards, averaging 5.3 total and 2.7 offensive rebounds a night.
Along with being a consistent passer,

has done just about everything her team could ask of her. She has improved her shooting numbers, she crashes the glass, and she is a defensive stopper. The Golden Suns will be lucky to have her, but her job is not finished until Dover reaches its one true goal.

is one of the most versatile and skilled forwards in the 3A classification. She can play either the small or power forward positions and she is hard to stop in the high/mid post and in the paint. Young is already off the board, as she committed to Arkansas Tech in June, but she is still expected to have a great senior season.
Young is at her best when she is playing around the free throw line or on the blocks. She takes and makes short jumpers from those spots. She can hit catch-and-shoot and turn-around jumpers in the mid-range, and those shots are so hard to block. For NBA fans, think of Shaun Livingston, who was unstoppable from the mid-range and high post areas in his time with the Golden State Warriors. That is who Young’s game takes after. It may be unusual for today’s game, but it is an automatic two points when she takes those shots. Not only is Young a threat to hit those short jumpers, but she gets to her spots and if the defense is too tight, she is a huge threat to drive.
Young’s slashing ability is dangerous. She can slice past defenders whether she is posting up or on a dribble-drive. Her finishing ability is great, and she uses pump fakes and the backboard to her advantage each time down the court. She can do these things in the half-court, but she also does them well on the fastbreak. Her paint scoring and short jumpers all translate to every kind of basketball scenario.
Defensively, Young makes her presence felt by causing turnovers. She has very active hands and will strip the ball away in a split second. She can play the passing lanes too, but Young is also a stellar shot blocker. She has great timing on those blocks and she does not mind sending the ball towards the stands.

is a fantastic basketball player with tremendous two-way ability. Though she is no longer uncommitted, she has potential to be the best forward in all of 3A, and it will be worth watching.

Game Watched: Krush Queens vs CyFair Elite OKC
A quality athlete with the motor to back it up, Young flew all around the court making plays. This was often most apparent with the way she high pointed and snagged rebounds on both ends of the court. But she would also put her body on the line by getting on the floor for loose balls and taking charges. On the offensive end her plus athleticism helped her earn trips to the line, but in this contest her shooting touch was off. Based on this one game small sample size, she’ll need to improve as a scorer to make an impact at the next level. But her obvious athletic traits and tenacity still make a very interesting prospect to track. Especially if the poor shooting game was an outlier from her usual performances.

I’m always hyped when I get to a showcase, tournament, school game, pick-up game… ok, maybe not pick-up game, anyway… I’m always hyped to see

play. There’s a good chance she’s gonna be both the most athletic and the hardest working player in the building. This time around was slightly different with the Langston players and coaches helping OKRL attendees through drills. I got to see Logan and her ability to take coaching and pick up new things in the fundamentals department. A little jab-step, pivot, drive, jump-stop move became second nature for her and it didn’t take long to see that this will probably be added to her already overflowing bag very soon.

I love going to a showcase and finding out that Logan is going to be there. I see a lot of players over and over again, but I feel like each time I see Logan play, I’m going to see something that I haven’t seen before. A large part of that is due to the fact that she is often the most naturally athletic person on the court and that has proven to provide some outstanding highlights as she slashes her way to the rim or pulls up for a midrange where her feet appear to be at the defenders waste. Another part of that is that Logan is clearly a student of the game and every time you see her play, you know that you are going to find any deficiency may have had last time tightened up just a little more. She just gets better and better and it’s time to add her name to the list of big-time 2025 prospects!

Logan is a player that possesses several skills that allow her to play inside and out. She’s effective out of the high post, can attack off the wing, gets out in transition and make plays, and she can break down the defense off the dribble. If given too much space on the catch she can knock down the three-pointer.
