is at Dover High School, not Atkins High School. This is her first year with the Lady Pirates since transferring from their 3A-5 rival, and she has made a major impact.
Keaster is the best passer in Arkansas. MaxPreps’ national numbers are not always accurate, but the senior averages 8.9 assists per game, which is good for third-best in the country according to their records.
She is truly a pass-first guard, running the offense flawlessly. For a high school point guard, it is hard to believe that she only averages 2.0 turnovers per game, especially since she controls the ball so often. Her assist-to-turnover ratio this season is 4.47, just to provide more evidence for her elite playmaking ability. Of course, she can do much more than just facilitate.
Keaster averages 9.5 points per game on 45% shooting. She has also made 13 shots from long distance and she converts 80% of her shots at the charity stripe. Even as a point guard, Keaster is Dover’s best rebounder, pulling down 5.7 boards a night, including 1.0 a game on the offensive end. She is also one of their best defenders, averaging 1.9 steals.

is a fantastic floor general who will be instrumental when it comes to involving the team’s two double-digit scorers in the playoffs.

. They will both be playing together once again with Henderson State University, as Keaster committed to play for the Reddies this past summer.
This past summer with the Arkansas Sting , Keaster showed off much of her ability as a point guard. Keaster can shoot, score inside, defend, and make plays for others. Being a playmaker and floor general is her best overall skill, as she has shown that she is a brilliant passer. She looks like a hall-of-fame quarterback when she is making one-hand passes from one end of the floor to the other. Keaster is also great at recognizing her teammates’ off-ball movements. She identifies when and where her teammates will cut and hits them with perfect passes for easy assists. Whenever she assists one of her teammates, Keaster makes sure she goes to them after the play to high-five them. That is a small indication that Keaster is a leader, which is important for a point guard.
Scoring-wise, Keaster can just about do it all. She drives hard to the paint and she uses a variety of ball-fakes to get around the defense to score. Keaster has no problem taking on contact and finishing over taller defenders. She can also make slick passes to her teammates if the defense collapses on her. Keaster’s jumpshot is another strong part of her game. She feasts on short jumpers, especially on the fastbreak, but she is also a solid 3-point shooter who does well in dribble pull-up and catch-and-shoot situations.

is no longer an uncommitted prospect, so for colleges finding out about her late, too bad so sad. But it will be interesting to watch her with her new school of Dover High, especially when they take on fellow 3A-5 opponent Atkins High School (Keaster’s former squad).

A point guard uses a change of speed with the dribble to get by her defender. Nice through the legs moves to go along with a pocket dribble and she was hitting the seam of the defense. Good outside shooter off the catch and dribble had her defender flat footed at times. Patience with the ball even against a pressure defense with eyes up the floor looking for the open man. Great vision off the dribble looking for backside open teammate.
A physical in your space type defender on the ball that caused turnovers at times. Impressive and that I liked was that she never backed down just always kept coming at you. Guess best way to describe just played with grit and a somewhat bring it attitude
